Jury of stars at the Autochtona Award 2020

A completely renewed edition with a focus dedicated to the Autochtona Awards , the prizes that enhance the best Italian native wines. On 19 and 20 October Fiera Bolzano will host the 17th edition of Autochtona and in these days the panel of jurors, both Italian and international, is being completed, called to taste for two days the many and different interpretations that many small producers give to the heritage Italian autochthonous ampelographic.

" During the 10 editions of the award dedicated to Autochtona wines from indigenous vines, we had the honor and pleasure of always hosting names of absolute reference in the panorama of Italian and international wine critics - comments Thomas Mur, Director of Fiera Bolzano - It can be said that the elite of journalism in the sector has passed from Autochtona over the years. For this new edition we have made the jury even more numerous, authoritative and international and we are very proud to have managed to unite under a single flag the representatives of the most important Italian guides. A very important certificate of trust and a guarantee of professionalism for all producers who will send their samples to participate in this important prize ".

Mario Busso (Vini Buoni d'Italia), Giuseppe Carrus (Gambero Rosso), Elio Ghisalberti (l'Espresso), Fabio Giavedoni (Slow Wine), Christine Mayr (Vitae-AIS), Alessandra Piubello (I Vini di Veronelli) and Riccardo Viscardi (Doctor Wine) are the names of the tasters of the Italian wine guides who will be part of an international jury, with the task of assigning, during the two tasting sessions, the prizes in the categories that make up the Autochtona Award: "Best White Wine "," Best Rosé Wine "," Best Red Wine "," Best Bubbles "," Best Sweet Wine ".

In addition to the special prizes "Terroir" and "Spirito diVino", three other prizes, within the Tasting Lagrein section, will be reserved for wines produced with this native red grape variety from Alto Adige in the categories "Kretzer", "Classico" and "Reserve".

The jury will also be enriched by critics and wine writers from Italy and abroad and will see the participation of journalists, now at home in Bolzano, such as Leila Salimbeni (editorial coordinator of Spirito diVino), Pierluigi Gorgoni (coordinator of the Autochtona Awards) and Alessandro Franceschini (Autochtona Award secretary).
