GUSTUS BERICO: WINE FOR EXHIBITION IN VICENZA

On 19th and 20th October, in Vicenza, the fourth edition of the exhibition dedicated to the wines and flavours of the Berico territory takes place. Awarded the photographs on the theme: Wines, Vineyards, Vicenza.

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October, Gustus Berico is on stage in Vicenza, the fourth edition of the exhibition of Colli Berici and Vicenza DOC wines and typical products of Vicenza. An event organized by the Consorzio Vini Colli Berici e Vicenza and by the Wine Road of the Berici hills, open from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Palazzo Valmarana Braga, designed by Andrea Palladio, located in the central Corso Fogazzaro.
"There are all the good prospects - Rino Polacco says, president of the Wine Road of the Berici hills - to replicate, and increase further, the success achieved in the three previous editions, when the event was called Gustus Itineris".
Thirty are the present companies, including wineries, distilleries and artisan producers of gastronomic specialties. Then, there will be the opportunity to taste the Colli Berici and Vicenza DOC wines, along with honey, cheese, Extra Virgin Colli Berici Oil, specialties such as the sweet La Gata and dishes prepared by the restaurateurs of the Le Buone Tavole dei Berici Association.
"In addition, we have prepared - Andrea Monico, director of the Consortium, adds - a program with four special events, designed for an audience of connoisseurs, and for curious people who want to approach the great world of wine".
On Saturday at 5 pm, the start is with the tasting "Tai Rosso? and its brothers": led by Fabio Giavedoni, editor of the Slow Wine Guide, which will compare the Tai Rosso of the Berici hills with its close relatives, such as Cannonau, Gamay del Trasimeno and others. At 6:30 pm, the continuation is with ?L?Oro delle Abbadesse", laboratory of Taste by Slow Food Vicenza on Grumolo rice, the only Italian rice protected by Slow Food Presidium.
On Sunday 17 the tasting "Five great interpretations of Garganega" is in the program, with a guided approach to the techniques of tasting edited by Fisar of Vicenza. And at 6:30 pm : "The Extra Virgin Olive Oil", laboratory of Taste by Slow Food Vicenza. Tastings on request, subject to availability.
Up to 6th October, you can also take part in the Photo Contest "Wines, Vineyards, Vicenza" : it is enough to post on the facebook profile of the event pictures of wines, vineyards, wineries, harvest or otherwise involving the oenological world. There are three awarded categories: best shot, photo better able to represent the Vicenza way of being, photo that obtains more "Like? on Facebook. To the winners, baskets with typical products and dinners at the restaurant.
