GOLOSARIA IS BACK, THE GARDA DOC CONSORTIUM IS THE OFFICIAL WINE OF THE 2023 EDITION

If "Tradition is innovation", as reported by the theme of the eighteenth edition of Golosaria Milano , the Garda DOC Consortium is undoubtedly the emblem of this assumption. Official Wine of the 2023 edition, the Garda Doc Consortium is moreover a denomination guided by a strong spirit of innovation, capable, over the years, of evolving according to consumer needs, while respecting a product of very ancient origins. Scheduled from 4 to 6 November, at the Allianz Mico Milano, the Golosaria Fair, which was officially founded in 2006 as an exhibition dedicated to the excellence of Italian food & wine, is characterized this year by a large participation of wine producers present at the event . “We are pleased to be the official wine of Golosaria – underlines the President of the Garda DOC Consortium Paolo Fiorini – an event that turns the spotlight on the best of Italian agri-food for three days, including historic producers and emerging realities. The Garda DOC Consortium, common denominator of a territory that unites the many wine-growing areas that overlook the shores of the lake, from Bresciano to Veronese to Mantua, is present with events that aim to help enthusiasts and visitors discover proud of the thousand nuances of this extraordinary wine-growing area". In fact, a wine tasting organized in collaboration with Garda DOC is scheduled for Saturday 4 November at 4pm, entitled " Garda Doc: a unique territory where the stories of people are intertwined with stories of terroir - Le Bollicine del Garda ". Winning card for Garda productions, the Garda DOC Consortium identifies sparkling wines as a privileged way to enhance the wines of this area and will lead guests on an ideal journey to discover the many expressions of Garda bubbles. On Sunday 5 November, there will be two events in collaboration with Garda DOC: a special show cooking , in which it will be possible to pair the wines of the Garda Doc Consortium with Milanese risotto prepared by chef Daniel Canzian. At 6.30 pm it will then be the turn of a second wine tasting entitled " Garda Doc: a unique territory where the stories of people are intertwined with stories of terroir - The Varietal Wines of Garda ", aimed precisely at enhancing the wine heterogeneity of a territory with many facets. To participate in these events, no reservation is required: entry is considered free until seats are filled (it is advisable to show up a few minutes early to take a seat).

THE GARDA DOC CONSORTIUM

A hilly area with unique landscape characteristics, between Lombardy and Veneto, protected by the mountains and overlooking the largest basin in Italy: here, between the provinces of Brescia, Mantua and Verona, lies the DOC Garda, a wine production area in where the special climatic conditions have shaped the qualities of the different grape species that grow there over time and, still, determine their peculiarities. Recognized for the first time in 1996 with the aim of enhancing the varietal wines produced in the 10 historic production areas of the Garda area, the DOC Garda is a denomination guided by a strong spirit of innovation, capable, over the years, of evolving into based on consumer needs, while respecting a product that has very ancient origins here. Having obtained ministerial recognition in 2015 and operating erga omnes since 2016, today the Garda Doc Consortium represents 250 users of the denomination, giving voice and promoting one of the most precious food and wine excellences in Italy
