Tastings of Ruchè wine and of typical products of the Monferrato area

This is the sixth edition of an event that aims to promote and spread the knowledge of the Ruchè wine, in order to create interest around the new year, both towards the operators and towards the great public of wine enthusiasts.
Festa del Ruchè was founded some years ago by the desire of a large squad of producers to celebrate the jewel of their territory and to team up with the Castagnole Monferrato Municipality (which also gives its name to the doc) and with the Go Wine Association.
The format is repeated: two days of celebration and confrontation in which the Ruchè wine will be the exclusive protagonist of a series of important tastings.
The event starts on Saturday afternoon with a short meeting to analyze the wines of the latest harvest and the production, that will be followed by tastings by the wineries which will meet the public within the beautiful halls of La Mercantile Estate until late Sunday afternoon. Moreover, during the day of Sunday a wine tasting dedicated to journalists and operators of the sector will take place.
A space will be reserved to local products, with the presence of the restaurants of Castagnole Monferrato that will bring their specialties directly to La Mercantile Estate, creating a menu to taste combined with Ruchè degustations.
In addition: music entertainment and walks in the vineyards will complete the proposal for a tour in an area of ​​unique fascination that, thanks to wine, is experiencing a new development.
Festa del Ruchè will take place in its town of origin, Castagnole Monferrato, together with producers of all the seven municipalities in the boundary zone: Castagnole Monferrato, Grana, Montemagno, Portacomaro, Refrancore, Scurzolengo and Viarigi.

Program and schedule:
Saturday, 11th May (La Mercantile Estate):
At 17:30 - Inaugural Conference.
From 18:30 to 24:00 - Opening of the tasting tables, party with producers; gastronomic point by the Proloco Castagnole Monferrato, wine shop (sale of bottles); music entertainment.
Sunday, 13th May (La Mercantile Estate):
At 10:00 and 14:30 - Wine tasting reserved to professionals (owners of restaurants, wine shops and wine bars)
At 12:00 - Gastronomic point by the Proloco and the restaurants of Castagnole Monferrato
From 10:00 to 18:30 - Opening of the tasting tables, party with producers, wine shop (sale of bottles)
In the morning: a walk in the vineyards
