EXHIBITION OF TASTE AND MOTHER EARTH 2012: A UNIQUE EVENT

This year's Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre are one. It is the great news, a historic event for the whole international movement Slow Food, Turin, Piedmont and for all loyal visitors who follow the Salone Internazionale del Gusto since its first edition in 1996.

The two events bring to an end a path already traced from 2004, the year she was born Earth Mother, and that has always seen side by side in a clear and conscious choice: the world of food and gastronomy can not ignore those who work the land from those who transform nature into culture every day, from people who feel about themselves, about their fields and their communities on the importance of ecological problems, climatic, economic, social increasingly stifling.

The event Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre 2012 stands as a great collective narrative, completely open to the public (and the meetings of Mother Earth are for the first time). It starts from the story of the people and territories to taste better, understand more, meet and exchange. The network of food communities joins the incredible heritage of the show, made up of producers, cooks, taste workshops, educational activities, Slow Food, enriches and brings new opportunities to the visitors, with all the classic appointments and a full program conferences. The stories of the protagonists of the Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre 2012 tell us how we can change the paradigm that rule this world in crisis from food. It shows that we can do something good for our health, the environment and the production system without sacrificing the pleasure of food and conviviality.

That's why we chose the slogan of this year "Foods that change the world." A revolutionary project, but it requires a new way of thinking: we put the food, you supply the head!
