Divini Colli 2013

Saturday 8th, Sunday 9th and Monday 10th June, a series of events organized by the Brotherhood of Valdobbiadene will take place involving the territory and culminating with the first edition of DiviniColli, going around with taste.


Sunday, 9th June, in fact, the first edition of DiviniColli will start, a gastronomic journey through the streets and the towns of Valdobbiadene by bike, on foot or with other non-motorized means. You can taste the local products and Slow Food in conjunction with the Valdobbiadene DOCG with moments of art, music and entertainment.

The program is completed by meetings for specialists in the wine industry: Saturday, 8th June, conference "Oenologist's day" and presentation of the Bottle of the Brotherhood. Monday, 10th June, conference "Winemaker's day" and Symposium entitled "Wine and Food: Global, Local or Glocal - Back to the territory and traditions or international influence?".

At Villa dei Cedri, the conference "Oenologist's Day" takes place, an update on technical and professional issues in collaboration with AEI (Assoenologi) Sec. Central and Eastern Veneto.

Presentation of the Bottle of the Brotherhood
Official presentation and the solemn ceremony of uncorking of the first "Bottle of the Brotherhood" 2012 selection, with toast. The selected bottle represents the production that best represents the excellence of the vintage, of the essence and tradition of winemaking in the area.

At Piazza Marconi, at 10:00, the "DiviniColli" starts, a gastronomic journey that leads participants to discover the territory, a journey that winds through vineyards and farmhouses. The allowed means of transport are those without a motor, on foot or by bike, to ensure a better use of the land. Along the way you will find five stages of food and wine where you can taste the products of Slow Food in conjunction with the Valdobbiadene DOCG, and there will be entertainment opportunities for the participants, with moments of art, music and show.

Degustation of the Valdobbiadene DOCG selected by the Brotherhood in combination with gastronomic delights, in the evening accompaniment of the piano bar. From the afternoon, shows, entertainment, music and folklore at Piazza Marconi.

It is the most important day for industry experts, at the Villa dei Cedri.

Winemaker's day
The conference "Winemaker's day" will take place, on the techniques of cultivation and management of the vineyard on the hills, which culminates with the awarding of the "Vineyard Valdobbiadene".

Symposium entitled "Wine and Food: Global, Local or Glocal - Back to the territory and traditions of international influence?"

The event, with free entry, is organized by the Brotherhood of Valdobbiadene and has become a crucial event to promote the future of Italian wine and food.

Special guests for the 2013 edition will be the journalists Antonio Paolini, wine critic and Management of the Guide Committee of L'Espresso, and Alessandro Regoli, director of the Wine News portal.

There will be also the distinguished chef Fabio Baldassarre of Unico restaurant in Milan, a Michelin star, and Vito Mollica, of the restaurant Palagio at the Four Seasons Hotel in Florence, as well as Roberta Giuriali Stelzer, marketing manager of the winery Maso Martis Martignano (TN) and Giorgio Castagnotti, General director of Martini & Rossi SpA - Chieri (TO). The moderator will be David Di Corato, a journalist known for his experience at the head of renowned magazines. At the end there will be toast and buffet.

The symposium has reached national importance imposing itself as an opportunity for comparison between experts and interested parties on the current trend of this important reality, flagship of the national scene.

In all the days there will be the involvement of the participants, drummers and flag bearers of the Dama Castellana Association of Conegliano.
