From 6 to 8 October tasting stands of local wineries along the streets of the village. Saturday the conference on Grenache with a comparison between Umbria and Sardinia

The Consorzio Tutela Vini Doc Colli del Trasimeno is among the sponsors of the eleventh edition of Corciano Castello di Vino , scheduled from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 October 2023 and organized by the association of the same name in the medieval village of Corciano (Perugia). Created to help people rediscover the winemaking traditions of the area, as well as to finance the recovery and restoration of local artistic works, the event will be structured as an itinerant tasting journey along the ancient streets of the village, with the opportunity to get to know the wines of consortium wineries. Small outdoor corners will allow visitors to quickly and dynamically taste local gastronomic products while the Taverna del Duca will be available to those who prefer to enjoy traditional Umbrian products while sitting comfortably. The inauguration is scheduled for Friday 6 October at 7.00 pm in Piazza Doni. The mayor Lorenzo Pierotti , the president of the Corciano Castello di Vino Association Bruno Nucci and the president of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Doc Colli del Trasimeno Emanuele Bizzi will be present. On Saturday 7 October an in-depth study will be dedicated to Grenache : at 11.45 in the Council Room of the Town Hall the conference will be held Grenache in Italy between opportunities and common objectives: Trasimeno meets the Cannonau of Sardinia. Territories and profiles compared . Moderated by Vincenzo Scivetti , delegate of Grenaches du Monde in Italy , Nicola Chiucchiurlotto , director of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Doc Colli del Trasimeno, will discuss the topic; Renzo Peretto and Mauro Murenu of Laore Sardegna, agency for the implementation of regional programs in the agricultural field and for rural development; Mariano Murru , president of Assoenologi Sardinia; Mario Mereu , president of the Cannonau Protection Consortium of Sardinia. “ Corciano Castello di Vino – Preview Trasimeno 2023 is an important opportunity to start teaming up between the Grenache-producing territories in Italy – declares Emanuele Bizzi , president of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Doc Colli Del Trasimeno –. For this reason we organized a round table between protagonists of the wine scene of Umbria and Sardinia. This is the first step on a path to present ourselves as strong at an international level, with the future objective of bringing together all the Italian territories suited to the cultivation of the variety". The program of the event was illustrated during the press conference on Monday 2 October at Palazzo Donini in Perugia, headquarters of the Regional Council, where Massimo Sepiacci , president of Umbria Top, spoke as a councilor representing the Consorzio Tutela Vini Doc Colli del Trasimeno Wines, in the presence of local authorities. Corciano Castello di Vino is also made possible thanks to the support of the Umbria Region as it is part of the plan for the valorization of quality regional wines, in collaboration with Umbria Top Wines (PSR Umbria 2014-2022 measure 3.2.1 – 2023) . The event is also sponsored by the Municipality of Corciano, Strada del Vino Colli del Trasimeno, Strade del Vino Umbria and AIS – Italian Sommelier Association of Umbria.
