Cerasuolo di Vittoria Docg and Vittoria Doc at Vinitaly 2023

The Consortium for the protection of Cerasuolo di Vittoria Docg and Vittoria Doc wines will be present at the next Vinitaly, scheduled in Verona from 2 to 5 April 2023 , with a stand (Hall 2 Stand 89) .

Vinitaly is confirmed as an unmissable event for the international promotion of wine products especially in a time of great change, between challenges and opportunities. The Consortium, which has always been committed to enhancing the two denominations, is present at the international trade fair, in a special year: the one in which the 50th anniversary of obtaining the controlled denomination of origin (DOC) for Cerasuolo di Vittoria Docg is celebrated .

CONSORTIUM FOR THE PROTECTION OF CERASUOLO DI VITTORIA DOCG WINES

The Consortium for the Protection of Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG and Vittoria DOC wines deals with the protection and enhancement of the only DOCG wine in Sicily as well as the wines that fall under the Vittoria DOC. Cerasuolo di Vittoria in particular owes its preciousness to the virtue of the autochthonous vines that compose it (Nero d'Avola and Frappato), to the magic of the climate and to the diligent cultivation by passionate operators. The Consortium represents about 90% of the producers of the provinces of Ragusa, Catania and Caltanisetta, which are the production areas of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria wine. This body therefore has constant supervision over the quality of the product and a careful promotion work carried out in favor of these oenological pearls.
