Caiarossa returns to Vinitaly (Hall 9 – Stand D16) with an exhibition space that showcases the profound connection between the winery and its production philosophy. The stand, featuring natural materials and a dramatic wall made of recycled wooden crates, will showcase the estate's full range of labels, with a special focus on its iconic red collection. The display, designed to convey, through details and dedicated content, the values of harmony, sustainability, and research that have always guided the company.
Among the new wines available for tasting are the new 2022 vintages of Caiarossa, Aria di Caiarossa, and Pergolaia , wines that complement one another and interpret the richness of the company's diverse terroirs.
"The wines we are presenting in 2026 authentically express the character of our vineyards and diverse terroirs," says Francesco Villa, Technical Director of Caiarossa. " They express balance, complexity, and a clear territorial identity, the fruit of meticulous work in the vineyard and cellar." He continues: "The 2022 vintage has produced wines of remarkable finesse, depth, and natural freshness, qualities that will continue to evolve beautifully over the years."
Situated on the Tuscan coast, among Mediterranean forests and hills overlooking the sea, Caiarossa is a winery owned by the Albada Jelgersma family, who since 1998 have pursued a production vision based on harmony with the environment and the principles of biodynamic and organic agriculture , enhancing the vitality and identity of the soil. It is in this natural and cultural context that wines characterized by finesse, complexity, and territorial authenticity are born, the fruit of ongoing research and a commitment that the family continues with dedication.
Along with Vinitaly, Caiarossa will also be a key player at Summa 2026 , scheduled for April 11 and 12 at the Tenuta Alois Lageder estate in Magrè . The event, an international benchmark for producers committed to sustainable agriculture for over twenty years, will showcase the new vintages of Caiarossa labels and their Organic EVO Oil, an authentic expression of the estate's ecosystem.
CAIAROSSA
Nature's energy finds its strength and shelter near the medieval village of Riparbella, on the Tuscan coast: the lush vegetation, fruit trees, olive groves, vegetables, and aromatic plants evoke the color, scents, and wonder of a unique territory, the one in which Caiarossa is located. A magical light by day, created by the reflection of the sun's rays on the distant sea, a starry sky by night—the allure is overwhelming and embraces the winery, red like the center of the earth, nestled on the southwest slope of the hill.
It was 2004 when Eric Albada Jelgersma decided to purchase an estate in this special part of Italy, bringing with him the knowledge he had developed over the years in Bordeaux, with Château Giscours, a well-known winery in the Margaux appellation of the Bordeaux region of France.
Eric Albada fell in love with this small but beautiful winery, nestled in the Mediterranean scrub on the western slope of a hill overlooking the sea. Today, his children, Dennis, Derk, and Valérie, follow in their father's footsteps and continue to strive for the utmost precision in winemaking.
This quest is aimed at maximizing connection with the rhythms of nature, which is why the winery has followed the principles of biodynamic agriculture since its inception, aiming to increase the vitality and resilience of the soil. Caiarossa wines are unique: refined blends reflect a quest for experimentation and balance. A harmony that reflects a virtuous interpretation of the terroir through French eyes.
