Anteprime di Toscana, for the first time in the history of the regional oenology, all Tuscan designations will have their own preview. Inaugurating the event, the fourth edition of
Buy Wine (Florence, 15 to 17 February 2014), the international workshop organized by the
Toscana Promozione Regional Agency to facilitate the matching of the Tuscan of wine and the international trade. The 2014 edition will be dedicated to emerging designations – that will organize their previews here – and will be attended by 280 Tuscan producers and 250 buyers from around the world, who will be engaged in two days of B2B meetings.
«Considering the particularity of this year – Silvia Burzagli, deputy director of Toscana Promozione, said – we have focused heavily on the traditional markets such as North America and the UK, where about 70 buyers in total will arrive. We will have a strong presence of professionals from Scandinavia, from the Benelux countries, from Japan and from the BRIC. There will be, eventually, new markets such as South Africa, Australia, Albania and Georgia». «Our goal – Burzagli said – is always to consolidate and grow our market share where we are strong and penetrate new areas that, in recent years, are entering the world of wine as competitors, but also as potential customers».
In the 2013 edition, at Buy Wine 5760, B2B meetings took place for an estimated turnover of 860,000 Euro.
Previews scheduled at the Fortezza da Basso in the days of Buy Wine are organized by the following consortia:
Valdarno di Sopra, Carmignano, Bolgheri, Terratico di Bibbona, Elba, Val di Cornia, Montecucco, Morellino di Scansano, Cortona, Chianti Colli senesi, Chianti Colli Fiorentini, Chianti Rufina and Chianti.
