Bolzano Wine Tasting

The wines of South Tyrol celebrate in Castel Mareccio the arrival of spring

The Bolzano Wine Tasting is almost 100 years old and there is great desire to give a new twist to the classic South Tyrolean wine appointments, awaited every year with great expectations by experts and enthusiasts. The date has been put forward to mid–March, however, we return to the ancient relation to the location: it will be the medieval walls of Castel Mareccio to host from 12th to 16th March 2014, the large delegation of producers from South Tyrol that offer for tasting 350 labels.

Impressive opening on Wednesday, 12th March, with the Gala Night of South Tyrol Wine, a festive evening with a menu specially designed to enhance a wine list that is unique. All accompanied by the music of the Tire Bouchon group.

The next day a great collective tasting will be organized, with the traditional tasting tables in the presence of producers; then, Friday and Saturday it will be the turn of the comparative tasting of the wines of South Tyrol that will compare the best of South Tyrolean wine production. In the afternoons of Thursday, Friday and Saturday seminars and guided tastings, including the exclusive tasting of Rarità Santa Maddalena will take place.

Saturday, 15th March, it will be party time with Wineparty Alto Adige, hosted here in 2014 in the courtyard of Castel Mareccio, for the occasion changed into a big stage. And finally there will be be a sparkling conclusion that will say goodbye to the edition number 92 of the Wine Tasting in the morning of Sunday 16th, with the Breakfast with "Swinging Bubbles" Sparkling Wine, with strictly Classic Method bubbles and jazz rhythm.
