ANUGA 2023, THE GARDA DOC CONSORTIUM PARTICIPATES IN THE GREAT FOOD&BEVERAGE FAIR IN COLOGNE

With over 7,800 exhibitors from 118 countries, the “ Anuga ” Food & Beverage Fair confirms itself as one of the main events in the world for the reference sector. The Garda DOC Consortium, in partnership with the Grana Padano Consortium, is preparing to participate in the 2023 edition, which will be held from 7 to 11 October 2023 in Cologne, Germany. “Germany plays a strategic role for the Garda DOC Consortium – underlines Paolo Fiorini , president of the Garda DOC Consortium – as well as being one of the markets that have most rewarded Lake Garda as a summer tourist destination, it is the first reference market for concerns the export of the wines of the denomination”. The high number of exhibitors, including around 1,000 Italians, who will occupy all 300,000 square meters of available surface area, suggests a highly successful 2023 edition, with a return to pre-pandemic levels. If Grana Padano will participate in the fair through an AFIDOP collective which includes Taleggio, Gorgonzola, Mozzarella di Bufala, Asiago and Grana Padano cheeses, Garda DOC and Lugana DOC will exclusively combine Lombard wines with five dishes. Furthermore, an "off-the-show" event dedicated exclusively to Lombardy wines and Grana Padano is scheduled on 9 October at the "Rheinloft Köln", a prestigious location in Cologne with a terrace overlooking the Reno river. In this case the wines of Garda DOC and Lugana DOC will be paired only with Grana Padano DOP cheese and the dishes prepared by chef Andi Schweiger who will entertain those present with a cooking show
