CONCRETE EXPERIENCES AND PROPOSALS FOR SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL ECONOMY
On 14th May 2015 in Vistorta (Pordenone) a meeting organized by AIAB Friuli and Vistorta farm will provide technical and practical information for responsible viticulture
On Thursday, 14th May 2015, starting at 9:30 a.m., the Vistorta farm of Sacile (PN) will host the conference
A viticulture for the future. The meeting is organized by AIAB–FVG, Italian Organic Farming Association of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Vistorta farm with the intent to
educate and inform farmers about organic farming techniques and promote the exchange of knowledge and experience in order to grow in the commitment towards sustainable and responsible agriculture.
The theme of the conference will be organic farming in the vineyards, starting from the reasons that lead to conversion, the problems that may arise along the way and the chances of success. They will talk about biodiversity of the soil and the effect on the management of the vines and on the quality of grapes and about a useful tool to know your own land: the analysis of the spade. The confrontation will continue expanding the focus to organic farming as a whole, until arriving to the idea of organic territory.
«For the first time – Brandino Brandolini, owner of the Vistorta farm, explains – we have brought together in jsut one place the most authoritative Italian experts in the sector». In effect, the technical interventions will be made by: Enzo Mescalchin of the
Mach Foundation of San Michele all’Adige, Anna Benedetti of the
Research Centre for the Study of the Relations of Plant and Soil of Rome, Luca Conte of the
Itinerant Experiential School of Organic Agriculture, Giovanni Bigot of Perleuve, Ruggero Mazzilli, of the
Experimental Station for Sustainable Viticulture and Pierluigi Donna of
SATA Agronomists. «With these skills – Brandolini continues – to face a new agriculture becomes a more feasible and economically sustainable path».
In addition to technical measures there will be space for the exchange of experiences between producers. The speakers will be: Elisabetta Foradori of Foradori farm, Daniele Piccinin Le Carline, Lorenzo Mocchiutti, Vignai da Duline and Brandino Brandolini d’Adda, Vistorta farm.
The invitation is for both those who have already embraced organic farming and those, winemakers and farmers, who are searching for answers in this direction. Participation is free.
