56th EXHIBITION OF CHIANTI

Special events and guests of excellence, through the discovery of flavours and territories in which the famous red grape is historically cultivated.

The Municipality of Montespertoli promotes the 56th edition of the "Mostra del Chianti" presenting the best productions of Chianti wines.


The Exhibition of Chianti is every year an important appointment for the development of the area through events related to one of its most renowned wines, Chianti, and in particular to the two existing DOCG or sub-zones of the Chianti: Chianti Montespertoli and Chianti Colli Fiorentini.

In this regard, the Municipality of Montespertoli has started a collaboration with the National Association of the Cities of Wine, and together, with the desire to enhance and promote the Montespertoli Chianti and Chianti Colli Fiorentini labels, organized two great initiatives.

Saturday, 25th May starting at 10 am, at the Center for Wine Culture "I Lecci", there will be a tasting of some of the best productions of the Chianti region. The tastings will be directed by OIV International Wine MSC Management Eric Morlot, French of origin and connoisseur of the wine reality of Italy and especially of Tuscany.

Sunday 26th at 3:30 pm, at the Council Hall of the Palazzo Comunale of Montespertoli, a conference entitled "Wine, Health and Territory" will take place, organized in collaboration with the "Wine and Health" National Association . The purpose of this meeting, with the participation of some of the biggest names in the medical / scientific and Italian wine, will be to understand the achievements of the research on the benefits of moderate, responsible consumption of wine.

At the end of the day, at 7:30 pm, in Piazza Machiavelli, Chef Paolo Gori of the restaurant "Trattoria da Burde" in Florence will perform a show cooking preparing "stracotto di cappello del prete".

The Municipality of Montespertoli, through the promotion of the 56th Exhibition of Chianti, founded with the aim to protect and enhance the "Chianti", understood both as a wine and territory, confirms its commitment to the promotion of local products and the implementing of the best practices to enhance their cultural food and wine heritage.

An event not to be missed for nine days dedicated to wine, food, territory and culture. Several appointments to devote yourself to flavours, stories, traditions and music, exploring the Chianti region and one of its areas of origin, Montesperoli, with its hills rich in natural beauty and gastronomic treasures.
