Pro Sandrigo , the organizer of the famous and historic Festa del Bacalà alla Vicentina , officially launches Stockyamo Street Food , the gastronomic contest designed to promote the PGI Lofoten Stockfish also in a street food key. The initiative takes place on the Instagram platform and is aimed at all cooking enthusiasts, inviting them to get involved with creative proposals that enhance the authentic flavor of stockfish. Applications can be sent until July 30 .
The winner will receive a prize that further enhances the gastronomic experience linked to stockfish. The creator of the Best dish according to the technical jury will win a weekend in Sandrigo for the 38th edition of the Festa del Bacalà alla Vicentina 2025 , scheduled from 18 to 29 September .
“Every year, together with volunteers and sponsors, we commit ourselves to renewing the Festa del Bacalà alla Vicentina , keeping the traditions alive but enriching them with new ideas and original initiatives. – declares Antonio Chemello , President of the Pro Loco of Sandrigo and Vice President of the Confraternita del Bacalà –. The event is in constant movement and aims to highlight the quality and versatility of the PGI Lofoten Stockfish, also with gastronomic novelties such as cod ravioli and with activities such as the Stockyamo Street Food contest. Furthermore, this year we will have a completely revisited format for Bacco&Baccalà and a new podcast dedicated to the protagonist of our Festival. All to tell in an engaging and interactive way the history, culture and curiosities that color such a special product”.
The contest is open to all non-professionals , such as students of hotel management schools or similar schools, food bloggers and cooking enthusiasts, provided they are of legal age and resident in Italy. To participate, it is necessary to create an original recipe for a dish that can be eaten standing up and without cutlery, featuring PGI Lofoten Stockfish and describe it with a reel on Instagram that illustrates the ingredients, doses, preparation phases, the idea behind the dish and its name. The content must be published on the social platform tagging the official Festa del Bacalà account (@festadelbaccala) and using the hashtags #stockyamostreetfood, #festadelbaccala, #sandrigo2025 and #stoccafissodilofotenigp. Participation is free and each proposal must be strictly unpublished, i.e. not already presented in other similar competitions.
Edition after edition, the Festa del Bacalà alla Vicentina relies on the commitment of volunteers and important strategic partners, who support the event every year. Among these, Bcc Veneta Credito Cooperativo , the main sponsor of the event, confirms its support. The gastronomic experience will be accompanied by Vespaiolo Breganze Doc from Cantina Beato Bartolomeo da Breganze and Durello Doc Brut from Cantina Natalina Grandi .
