OST – Temporary Starred Restaurant is born, curated by Love Casentino, a social promotion association committed to promoting the Casentino area , its gastronomic, cultural and landscape excellence.
The project will come to life in Casentino through five four-handed dinners, scheduled from February to June 2026 , during which historic locations in the area will be transformed, for one evening only, into temporary taverns.
A format that brings together Casentino food and wine and historic local restaurants with the cuisine of starred chefs on the national scene , giving life to experiences in which tradition and innovation meet in the spirit of sharing and discovery.
The OST calendar will be divided into five events.
Thursday 26 February 2026 , 8.00 pm, in Soci, at the Villa Mausolea of Soci (Music theme), with the La Buca Restaurant together with Simone Bravaccini, starred chef of the Ristorante del Lago of Acquapartita (FC).
Wednesday 25 March 2026 , 8.00 pm, in Bibbiena, at the Dovizi Theatre (Art theme), with the Il Tirabusciò Restaurant together with Gianluca Gorini, starred chef of the DaGorini Restaurant in San Pietro in Bagno (FC).
Thursday 30 April 2026 , 8.00 pm, in Poppi, at the Castello dei Conti Guidi (History theme), with the L'Aquolina Restaurant together with Alessandro Dal Degan, starred chef of the La Tana Restaurant in Asiago (VI).
Thursday 28 May 2026 , 8.00 pm, in Stia in Piazza Tanucci (location to be defined) (Piazza theme), with the Il Falterona Restaurant together with Niccolò Palumbo, starred chef of the Paca Restaurant in Prato.
Monday 29 June 2026 , 8.00 pm, in Camaldoli (Nature theme), with a full moon, with La Locanda dei Baroni together with Ariel Hagen, starred chef of the Saporium Restaurant in Florence and Chiusdino (FI) (date to be defined and subject to change).
Wine will be an integral part of the experience: at each dinner, four labels will be offered to pair with the seven courses . The wine selection will be curated by Andrea Bravaccini, Sommelier of the Year 2024 and 2026, who will guide the gastronomic journey, highlighting balance, harmony, and territorial identity. All labels will be Casentinesi and members of the Casentinesi Winegrowers Association.
Each dinner features a seven-course menu, costing €120 per person, including wine. There will be 50 seats available for each event.
Reservations are required at least 30 days in advance , and payment is required at the time of booking. Gluten-free and lactose-free dishes can be requested if requested at the time of booking. OST can also be turned into a gift, thanks to the option of purchasing non-personalized vouchers.
OST is a project by Love Casentino, a non-profit social promotion association registered with the RUNTS (Italian National Association of Tourist Boards). Part of the proceeds will be donated to AVIS Casentino, while the remainder will support Love Casentino's activities to promote and enhance the area . The project will enjoy the patronage of the Municipalities of Bibbiena, Poppi, and Pratovecchio-Stia, and the support of the Casentino Winegrowers' Association and Preludio Rental Division.
The project is directed by journalist Leonardo Romanelli, a food and wine critic, author of guides and cookbooks, television personality, and contributor to leading industry magazines. He has selected a number of participating chefs with the aim of building a coherent path between local identity and a contemporary vision.
