CITIES2030 VICENZA FOOD LAB | Presentation of the book "Il Senso Buono" with the author Anna Prandoni

On Wednesday 11 September , at 6.30 pm , the former greenhouses of Parco Querini will host the presentation of the book " Il Senso Buono " in the company of the author Anna Prandoni , journalist and director of Gastronomika , the daily newspaper on the culture and industry of food and wine of Linkiesta .

The event is organized by the Cities2030 Vicenza Food Lab of the European project H2020 Cities2030 , of which the Municipality of Vicenza is a partner together with the International Library “La Vigna” .

In conversation with the journalist from Vicenza Margherita Grotto , moderator of the meeting, Anna Prandoni will present her latest essay on food and wine , published in May by Linkiesta Books. In the volume, the author reports the great themes of the sector debate - closely linked to dynamics of modern society - to the civil responsibility of common sense . She does so starting from food, exploring controversies, false myths and fundamentalisms that are rooted in pairs such as modernity and tradition, biodynamic and intensive agriculture, natural wine versus conventional, and many others.

“We have chosen to conclude the long list of information and awareness initiatives within the European project Cities2030, which will end on September 30, with a book that calls for the need to prefer wisdom to extremism – explains the environmental councilor Sara Baldinato –. It is a pleasure to host a professional like Anna Prandoni, capable of developing, starting from the world of food, a reflection that touches many areas of modern life. We therefore hope that this moment of discussion will contribute to increasing our “good sense”, both as consumers and as citizens”.

The event, free and open to all , will be held even in case of bad weather . At the end, it will be possible to purchase the volume autographed by the author thanks to the collaboration with the Galla 1880 bookshop in Vicenza.

The initiative is part of the European project “ Cities2030 – Co-creating resilient and sustainable food systems towards FOOD2030”, funded by the European Commission's Horizon2020 programme. (Grant Agreement nr. 101000640), of which the Municipality of Vicenza is a partner together with the International Library “La Vigna” .
