Vinòforum 2025 has concluded, confirming its position as one of the most beloved and followed events in the sector nationwide with its stunning edition in Piazza di Siena. Eighty thousand visitors attended the seven evenings, discovering over 3,200 wines, 40 restaurants, and 60 chefs and master pizza makers, for a packed program of events that combined tastings, exclusive dinners, culture, and in-depth discussions. The numbers and attendance replicated the success of the previous edition at the Circo Massimo, a testament to an event that satisfies and excites both the public and industry professionals.
A surprising edition right down to the last, with the grand finale of La Città della Pizza, the national contest seeking out Italy's top pizza chef talents. The competition, a grand tribute to the finest expressions of the art of baking, was hosted by Luciana Squadrilli, journalist, pizza expert, and one of the creators of the Città della Pizza format.
The final evening, Sunday, September 14th, was further enriched by the presence of the nine finalist pizza chefs, who competed to create their signature dishes in front of a Roman audience and under the watchful eye of an exceptional jury led by industry experts such as Luciano Pignataro, Antonella Amodio, Anna Tortora, and Carlo Passera. Carlo Fiamma of Pizza e Cantina (Amalfi) triumphed with his "Positano" pizza (yellow datterino tomato cream, red tuna, raspberry-infused onion, caramelized onion, lemon-flavored crumb topping, Amalfi Sfusato zest, and lemon-infused oil), winning the grand prize of €4,000 in products and services offered by partners Molino Casillo, Cirio Alta Cucina, Latticini Gioiella, Birra Leffe, Acqua Orsini, Evooschool, AVPN, and Goeldlin.
"This edition of Piazza di Siena marks a major milestone in the history of Vinòforum ," said Emiliano De Venuti, organizer and CEO of Vinòforum . " Each evening was a theater of emotion, perfectly showcasing our country's food and wine heritage through the voices of chefs and producers. Repeating the numbers at Circo Massimo seemed almost impossible, but the enthusiastic response from the audience demonstrated how Vinòforum continues to represent a meeting place and a place for authentic connections for the entire sector. Now we're taking a few days to enjoy this achievement and then getting right back to work on the next, ambitious edition."
The Night Dinners, the exclusive dinners created in collaboration with La Molisana , were a resounding success. Each evening, they sold out, offering guests a unique dining experience featuring signature cuisine, fine wines selected by Dalle Vigne , and cinema. Also sold out were the Top Tastings, guided by AIS Lazio sommeliers, which offered tastings of fine wines and meetings with the most prestigious wineries in Italy and internationally. Also fully booked were the four-handed Pizza d'Autore evenings organized by Molino Casillo and paired with Leffe Abbey Beer , the dinners at Anima, The Rome EDITION's signature restaurant, and the Temporary Restaurants, which, as in previous editions, showcased the authentic soul of Roman cuisine through local ingredients and traditional recipes.
From the Friuli DOC Consortium passing through the ARSIAL - Lazio Region space, to the Frascati Wine Consortium, to the Consortium for the Protection of Piceni Wines with the Municipality of San Benedetto del Tronto, up to the Barolo Road and the great wines of Langa and the tastings organised by Rome Capitale Department of Agriculture and the Environment, Vinòforum brought on stage the best of Italian wine, with the presence of large wineries representing the entire Peninsula, to which was added the international presence of labels selected by the Spanish Tourist Board.
The event concluded in grand style with a tasting organized by ARSAC - Regione Calabria, featuring the region's great wines alongside traditional Roman dishes prepared by Massimo Pulicati, a longtime face of l'Oste della Bon'Ora, for a one-of-a-kind tasting experience.
The first partnership between Vinòforum and AMA was a resounding success. During the event, AMA strengthened its commitment to promoting glass recycling with the "Glass is green, green is AMA" campaign. At the information stand, residents and industry professionals were able to see the new "glass-eating" machine, designed to simplify waste disposal, and participate in an interactive quiz on good recycling practices. The initiative was accompanied by the distribution of informational materials, sustainable gadgets, and the Sustainability Kit, with the aim of encouraging increasingly responsible and environmentally conscious behavior.
