To underline the excitement that has existed in Sardinia in recent years in the field of food and wine, here is the latest creation from Silvio Carta: the Whiskey from Sardinia produced by the eclectic Elio Carta and tasted in preview in Rome by the editorial staff of the newspaper journalistic Vinodabere.it . This is a limited edition (for now) of 1500 50cl bottles, 43.7 degrees alcohol, packaging of refined elegance. The entire production process starts from exclusively Sardinian two-row barley and is carried out entirely in Silvio Carta's distillery. The Whiskey from Sardinia ages in century-old chestnut barrels, ranging in size from 80 to 470 litres, previously used to produce Vernaccia di Oristano, the company's original and very famous product. The evaluation of Pino Perrone, one of the leading Whiskey experts in Italy and "specialist" collaborator of Vinodabere, is eloquent, for whom "Silvio Carta's Whiskey has matured for only four years, and if as of now it is absolutely convincing, it is not we can only ask ourselves: how and how much more can it evolve in the future?”
