VERMOUTH OF TURIN… IN TURIN

Vermouth di Torino continues to grow in notoriety and appreciation for its quality. The Consortium that protects and promotes this Protected Geographical Indication, the only one recognized by the European Union for a vermouth, organizes events in many parts of the world to increasingly internationally recognize the excellence and uniqueness of this aromatized wine. After a 2024 full of over one hundred international events, the producers want to kick off the 2025 activities with the largest tasting ever organized for this denomination, right in Turin where it all began three centuries ago. This is the reason for the title of the event: VERMOUTH DI TORINO… IN TURIN. The game is at home, in the city that is the symbol of this historic aperitif. The appointment is for January 24, 2025, from 10.30 to 18.30 in the elegant Turin headquarters of the Italian Sommelier Association, in via Modena 23. The first event ever that had seen Vermouth di Torino as the protagonist of a major promotional initiative in its hometown, had already been organized by the Consortium in 2019, again in collaboration with the AIS. This new edition is even more important for the number of producers and labels that have doubled in the meantime. It will therefore offer the opportunity to taste an extraordinary selection of Vermouths from all the members of the Consortium, which have now become 43 and represent over 90% of the production of this prestigious PGI. There will not only be tasting stands from individual producers, but you can also participate in workshops and talk shows throughout the day, discovering the latest news. These agile moments of presentation will tell the thousand aspects that make the traditional Vermouth di Torino a must of the current aperitif hour and an extraordinary product that promotes Turin, Piedmont and Made in Italy in the world.
