UNPLI Vicenza starts again with events in support of the company

After the stop due to the Covid-19 emergency, the Pro Loco of the Province of Vicenza are ready to restart with initiatives and events spread throughout the territory and scheduled for the autumn period , from the end of August to the end of October. The calendar of events includes festivals related to Vicentine gastronomic specialties, but also exchange exhibitions, visits and guided excursions to discover the cultural and naturalistic heritage of the province. The scheduled events will have new ways of carrying out which include online reservations and the reduction of seats dedicated to the public , in order to guarantee social distancing and greater security for citizens. "With the restart of the events coordinated by the Pro Loco - explains Bortolo Carlotto , President of the UNPLI Vicenza Committee - it seemed right to privilege the involvement of all those local food and wine realities that have suffered most due to the crisis linked to the health emergency." During the months of lockdown, the activities of the associations did not stop: the availability of volunteers made it possible to organize fundraising in favor of the Vicenza healthcare and local hospitals, initiatives to support the Civil Protection, delivery of masks, delivery of home shopping for citizens in difficulty and information activity on the web. “The Pro Loco are the guardians of our identity - comments the President of the Province of Vicenza Francesco Rucco - Every year they organize over 600 events in the area to promote its natural beauty, its cultural richness, its typical food and wine. Not even Covid has stopped them, forcing them to rethink their activities to comply with the safety rules imposed by the emergency. Their objective has not changed, however, which remains the enhancement of places and traditions by animating the territories, creating opportunities for aggregation, attracting visitors. The restart cannot be separated from them, we local administrators are well aware of this, with whom collaboration has never been lacking, and will never be lacking.
