Trentino: Caneve en Festa returns to Val di Cembra on Saturday, October 17th.

A traveling dinner "from Caneva to Caneva," for a journey through sparkling wines, wines, grappas, and gastronomic specialties of the Cembra and Fiemme Valleys. This is the program for Caneve en Festa , an event organized by the Val di Cembra Tourist Association, now in its thirteenth year. Each year, it draws hundreds of participants, even from outside the province, to the picturesque historic center of Cembra.

The appointment is for Saturday 17 October, starting at 4pm , at the Oratory of Cembra , with staggered departures every half hour until 8.30pm to allow everyone to experience the route at their own pace and fully enjoy the experience.

From stop to stop, you can enjoy a complete menu, from appetizer to dessert , enriched by art, music, and dance. The journey begins with a selection of Trento DOC wines , accompanied by a crouton with tartare of Carne Salada del Trentino PGI Casa Largher. In the second caneva, the star will be Müller Thurgau , served with polenta prepared by the Alpini and tosella cooked directly by the experts of the Caseificio Sociale di Cavalese . In the third, Gewürztraminer will meet Felicetti mezze maniche, creamed with herb butter and Trentingrana prepared by Locanda Ca' dei Volti. The reds continue: first the Schiava paired with sausages and sauerkraut from Macelleria Zanotelli , then the Pinot Noir , which will accompany a warm autumn farro soup, also prepared by the chefs of Ca' dei Volti.

The sixth Caneva will be a true "taste journey," with Lambrusco di Sorbara and Lambrusco Grasparossa served alongside tigelle and crescentine filled with Modena pesto and Parmigiano Reggiano, prepared by I Custodi del Lambrusco and Dream Team Modna . We then enter the world of sweets with artisanal Birichini biscuits from Panificio Tarter in Ville di Fiemme , paired with a glass of fruit liqueur. The final stop, as is tradition, will feature Trentino grappa and jam-filled strauben baked by local grandmothers. Naturally, gluten-free and vegetarian options are available; please indicate this when booking, in addition to a non-alcoholic ticket to make the experience accessible to all.

There will also be an extra stop along the route: the “Stone en Caneva” , organised together with the curling friends of CR4 , where it will be possible to take a break with Müller Thurgau and Trentingrana in homage to two local excellences, curling and wine.

For art lovers, a Caneva will be reserved for the sculpture exhibition "Soul and Metal" by Giorgio Zanettin . And for those who want to challenge themselves, there's also the fun Caneva Escape , a challenge that invites groups of three to five participants to solve a puzzle related to life in the Caneva, including clues and tests. The evening will also be punctuated by music, with the Trentino folk-rock acoustic duo Unshods , the unplugged duo Malegria , the accordion of maestro Marco , and the overwhelming energy of Niutenti . At 9:00 pm , in Piazza Toniolli, it will be the turn of the captivating performance “Let's go” by the group Country Line Dance .

A packed program for an event that over the years has become a true autumn tradition and an event capable of bringing an ever-growing audience to the heart of the town, who often return to soak up the festive atmosphere that arises between one caneva and the next.
