Time of the Lives of Casa Paladin

Making wine known to the general public through the experience of the winemaker is the ambitious idea that prompted the Paladin family, protagonist of the Italian wine world, to create Il Tempo della Vite . This will be an open-air laboratory "from the past to the future" which, through interactive stages, will tell on the one hand the evolution of viticulture from the past to the present day, on the other hand the new frontiers of scientific knowledge, to discover how it lives the vine from the roots to the bunch. The project, carried out in collaboration with the Universities of Padua, Milan and Bolzano and with the CREA body, is part of the corporate mission of 360 ° sustainability, which Casa Paladin has developed through a program for the protection of the 4Vs, the four pillars of the Lives , Green , Wine and Life .

Il Tempo della Vite will be a 10,000 square meter vineyard park structured in two areas: one historical and one looking to the future. The first will represent the evolution of the forms of farming in the history of viticulture, from the creeping vine up to the typical form of the upper Veneto, the bellussera, and the modern guyot. The technological part, on the other hand, will highlight cutting-edge agronomic techniques for an increasingly sustainable production for the environment.

At the end of the path there will be a gallery that will allow you to explore the underground world to understand and understand the importance of the soil, microflora and microfauna present in it. Inside it will be created experimental observation points on the vine so as to be able to observe the response of the plant to natural stimuli such as light and humidity.

This educational vineyard will tell the general public the essence of the link between wine and its territory through a journey that sees the vine, its cultivation, grapes with their varied characteristics and, lastly, the winemaker as protagonists. The latter, through the skilful work of care and selection, manages to translate this bond into a wine with unique and often unrepeatable identity characters. The park will be open to all visitors to the winery but also to students, from primary school to university students.

Thanks to the involvement of an architectural firm and a landscape architect, natural and anthropological elements will be put into a system to guarantee the user a unique experience that involves the senses together with different colors, scents and sounds. Paths that cut through the vineyards will make it possible to reach the various event spaces through ever-changing natural elements that will be enhanced through the renaturalization actions of some areas. The vineyard will be seen from a sustainability profile declined in different areas, capable of transferring emotions of pleasantness and harmony, enhancing quality through beauty.
