Thirty years of DOC Verduno Pelaverga

The year 2025 marks an important anniversary for Verduno Pelaverga DOC , which celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of the recognition of the denomination .

A milestone that has its roots in an ancient and fascinating history, as the official website of the Association tells: Pelaverga is a native vine that dates back to the 17th century, a symbol of a winemaking tradition deeply rooted in the Verduno area.

This wine represents the authentic expression of a unique territory, where the passion of the producers has been able to preserve and enhance an extraordinary ampelographic heritage. A success that is celebrated today through a rich calendar of national and international events, aimed at telling the story, flavors and culture of this special wine.

A year of events to celebrate Verduno Pelaverga DOC

Throughout 2025, the Verduno è Uno Association will bring its wine to the main national and international stages, through promotional activities, tastings, meetings.

· Nebbiolo Prima 2025 (in collaboration with Albeisa, January/February 2025): Tastings of Verduno Pelaverga DOC during lunches reserved for journalists, an opportunity to showcase the excellence of this grape variety.

Grandi Langhe 2025 (January 27 and 28, 2025): Inaugural toast at the OGR in Turin, dedicated to journalists and buyers, to officially celebrate the thirtieth anniversary. Tasting bench dedicated to the denomination as part of the event.

· Stockholm – Barolo & Friends (February 17, 2025): Collective tasting bench to promote Verduno Pelaverga DOC on the Scandinavian market, broadening the international horizons of this wine.

· Indigena World Tour - Houston with Ian D'Agata (March 3, 2025): Masterclass that will delve into the peculiarities of Verduno Pelaverga DOC, with one of the greatest experts on native vines, the great voice of Verduno Pelaverga DOC.

· Incoming of international sommeliers (spring/summer 2025): Masterclasses and themed dinners in Verduno, a complete immersion in the culture and production of Pelaverga.

· Verduno Pelaverga and Contemporary Cuisine in the Netherlands (Summer 2025): Event dedicated to industry professionals to enhance the pairing with contemporary cuisine, demonstrating the versatility of this wine.

· National wine promotion events : Participation in industry events and demonstrations throughout the year.

· Incoming of Italian journalists in the area (September 2025): Tasting of the 2024 vintage of Pelaverga DOC and official investiture of the Ambassadors of Verduno Pelaverga DOC .
