The Wine Festival in Alba, Sunday 24 September

The XXV edition of the Go Wine Wine Festival returns to Alba on Sunday 24 September, bringing the most representative wine expressions of the Langhe and Roero area to the historic center of the city . The initiative, promoted by Go Wine, has over time become a much loved event among the public of Italian and foreign wine enthusiasts; a format which, again this year, will allow you to follow the itinerary of Piazza Risorgimento (Piazza Duomo), Via Vittorio Emanuele and Via Cavour, transforming the historic center into an ideal wine route for a day.

The event involves the wine-producing realities of the Municipalities of Langhe and Roero , maintaining its connotation of a festive event, which recalls the time and joyful character of the harvest, with the presence of local promotional realities, wineries, wine shops and producer associations. During the afternoon from 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm the producers, organized through the participating municipalities, will present their productions for tasting and will promote their territorial reality and their events.

An extraordinary tasting table is announced with many labels and denominations represented: from Barolo and Barbaresco, to the other noble wines of the Langhe and Roero: Nebbiolo d'Alba, Roero, Roero Arneis, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba, Diano and Dogliani, and many other wines.

A special section will be dedicated to Monferrato , with a selection of wineries present in the historic center of Alba.

Each visitor will be able to carry out tastings by purchasing the glass and the pocket, with the possibility of choosing and comparing the wines offered for tasting.

Sunday 24 September, as already happened on the first Sunday of 17 September, will be enriched with some special events.

The final awards ceremony of the Drinking the Territory National Literary Competition scheduled for Saturday 23 September at the Grinzane Cavour Castle and the national meeting of Go Wine Members on Sunday 24 September in the morning is confirmed.

The World Wines Enoteca (3.30pm-6.30pm)

In the context of the Wine Festival, an extraordinary wine shop will be proposed again with the presence of wines from all over the world, spanning the five continents. Each country will be represented by a wine (in some cases favoring local native varieties). And thus bringing wines from even unknown countries to the tasting in a sort of great atlas in the glass of world viticulture.

Everyone who participates in the event will have an additional tasting voucher for each of these two special wine shops.
