The Wine Festival, Alba, Sunday 20th and Sunday 27th September

  • 19/06/2026

For two Sundays at the end of September, the historic center of Alba is transformed into a large Wine Route.

On Sunday 20 and Sunday 27 September 2026, the Go Wine Wine Festival returns, now in its 28th edition: a now historic event, much loved by Italian and foreign enthusiasts, which brings the most representative wine expressions of Langa, Roero and Monferrato to the heart of the city.

The format confirms its most recognizable formula: an open-air tasting itinerary in the historic center of Alba, between Piazza Risorgimento – Piazza Duomo, Via Vittorio Emanuele and Via Cavour , where producers meet the public directly and talk about their wines, hills, villages and traditions.

A wine festival during the joyous time of the grape harvest, featuring participating municipalities, wineries, wine shops, producer associations, and local promotional organizations.

Two tasting suggestions to experience the Wine Festival

The 2026 edition confirms and enhances two different participation methods, designed to offer the public a broad and engaging experience.

1. The Wine Route in the historic center

It is the heart of the event.

Along the streets of Alba's historic center, visitors will be able to meet producers representing the municipalities of Langa, Roero, and Monferrato , tasting a wide selection of local wines.

From the great reds of the Langhe to the wines of Roero, from the most famous denominations to the most distinctive expressions of the various towns: the tour will offer a varied tasting experience, capable of illustrating the richness and variety of the hills around Alba.

Among the featured wines will be Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo d'Alba, Roero, Roero Arneis, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba, Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba, Dolcetto di Dogliani and many other labels representative of the area.

Visitors can taste by purchasing a glass and a bottle, freely choosing their own route through the tasting tables. Wines can also be purchased directly from the producers present.

2. The Go Wine Lounge dedicated to Barolo and Barbaresco

Alongside the Via del Vino, the Go Wine Lounge also returns, a special space for learning dedicated exclusively to Barolo and Barbaresco producers.

The Lounge will offer the opportunity to meet a selection of wineries from the municipalities of the Langa del Barolo and the Langa del Barbaresco , in a private setting and with regulated access in shifts.

This is a proposal designed for those who wish to combine the widespread itinerary of the Wine Festival with a more focused event, dedicated to two great appellations that are symbols of the Alba and Langhe regions.

Access to the Go Wine Lounge will be possible with a dedicated package, combined with a tasting on the Via del Vino.

The schedule and participation methods will be announced when online ticket sales begin.

Tastings open from 11am

On both days, Sunday 20th and Sunday 27th September, the event will be open from 11.00 to 19.00 .

A formula that allows the public to experience Alba and its historic center for the entire day, freely choosing the times and tasting routes.

The Wine Festival thus confirms its status as a major late-September event: an opportunity to meet new producers, rediscover well-known wineries, discover wines from various municipalities, and experience the city's charm during the grape harvest.
