After the success of the first edition, on Monday 20 November the Nizza Producers' Association returns to be the protagonist of the Piedmontese capital with the second edition of the Nizza Forum , a day dedicated to the denomination, organized in collaboration with the Regional Enoteca of Nizza and the Italian Sommelier Association of Piedmont, Turin delegation. Tasting tables, meetings with producers and two masterclasses: this is the packed program dedicated to sector operators, experts, wine lovers and interested tourists which will be staged in the splendid setting of the Museum of the Italian Risorgimento - Palazzo Carignano and aimed at making everyone discover the nuances of Nizza Docg. We believe very much in the present and future of the Nizza DOCG denomination which confirms itself as the fastest growing denomination in the Piedmont area, with a sales percentage that exceeds 20% in the last year - states Stefano Chiarlo, President of the Nizza Association.   - The Nizza Forum represents for the Association an important opportunity for in-depth dissemination of the Nizza Docg denomination. In this edition we want to address not only sector operators and experts but also a wider audience, such as enthusiasts and wine lovers, precisely to give everyone the opportunity to get to know the producers and their wines face to face. The reconfirmation of the Piedmontese capital as the location of the Nizza Forum, a choice of the Nizza Producers' Association who believe in the strategic importance of Turin as an increasingly important city for international catering and tourism. The heart of the event will be two masterclasses , conducted by Mauro Carosso, president of AIS Piemonte , moments designed for the most passionate and for professionals with a horizontal analysis of two of the most interesting vintages of Nizza Docg; at 2.30 pm in the Sala Codici we will taste 8 labels from the 2019 vintage , while afterwards, at 5.30 pm again in the Sala Codici the focus will be on the in-depth analysis and tasting of 8 Nizza Docg vintage 2015 . Both masterclasses will be structured as follows: first of all there will be a first short presentation of the denomination conducted by the President of the Association Stefano Chiarlo , followed by the speech of the President of the Barbera d'Asti e Vini del Monferrato Consortium Vitaliano Maccario who will present the numbers of the strong growth in terms of both producers and bottles sold. Then there will be a more technical introduction and an in-depth historical analysis of the denomination and the grape variety by Matteo Monchiero , professor at the University of Turin, and Roberto Marro, journalist and sommelier who will hold the actual tasting of the wines from a point of sensorial view, and everything will be concluded by Mauro Carosso, who will delve into the food and wine part, with the proposal of combinations chosen to accompany the excellence of the Nizza Docg of the different vintages. This event was possible thanks to the collaboration of the Nizza Producers Association with the Barbera d'Asti and Vini del Monferrato Consortium, a body that carries out the functions of protection, supervision and promotion of the denominations, agreeing on the action within the scope of the PSR project Measure 3.2 of which the Consortium is the leader, financed by the Piedmont Region.
