BARBERA D'ASTI DOCG, PIEMONTE DOC ROSÉ, AND GRIGNOLINO D'ASTI DOC ARE THE STARS OF THE SUMMER

Summer , with its bright days, outdoor dining, toasts with friends, and the desire for light-hearted yet authentic moments, is the season when the pleasure of wine becomes more spontaneous, linked to the warmth of company and the beauty of a shared landscape. In this scenario, the wines of Monferrato, from Barbera d'Asti DOCG to Grignolino d'Asti DOC , and Piemonte DOC Rosato , prove to be ideal companions : fresh, versatile, and convivial. Wines that tell the story of a generous and passionate land, yet also speak the language of the present, made of taste, simplicity, and quality.

" The Barbera d'Asti and Monferrato Wines Consortium denominations represent a model of balance between tradition and innovation. As a Consortium, we believe that true modernity lies in knowing how to offer versatile, recognizable wines that are consistent with the evolving needs of consumers, " says Vitaliano Maccario, President of the Barbera d'Asti and Monferrato Wines Consortium . " Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Grignolino d'Asti DOC, and Piemonte DOC Rosato, to name a few, speak a contemporary language: they are authentic, versatile wines, capable of adapting to the seasons, lifestyles, and new habits, without losing their identity. The true strength of Monferrato wines lies precisely here: in being contemporary by vocation, without chasing trends, but offering concrete solutions to a consumer who is increasingly attentive to the quality, drinkability, and value of the wine they choose. "

Fresh and vibrant , Barbera d'Asti DOCG demonstrates surprising versatility even in the hottest months. Served around 14–16°C , it reveals a fruity and dynamic personality, with notes of cherry, blackberry, sweet spices and a characteristic acidity that gives energy to the sip. Perfect for sharing on summer evenings, Barbera d'Asti served chilled represents a new idea of conviviality : more contemporary, more pop, but always with the focus on quality . A wine that combines tradition and modernity, capable of meeting the tastes of a curious, attentive and aware consumer, who does not give up the pleasure of an excellent red wine, even in the height of summer. Grignolino d'Asti DOC is certainly one of the ancient Piedmontese grape varieties that enrich the wine scene and finds its cradle in the area between Asti and Casale Monferrato. Its light yet complex soul makes it perfect for being served chilled , between 12 and 14°C . A temperature that enhances its fruity and forest floor notes, often accompanied by characteristic hints of white pepper, revealing its surprising contemporary attitude. Grignolino is a wine that plays with time and rules , and which today finds new life in a more relaxed and everyday consumption, capable of expressing the depth of Monferrato through a modern language. Piemonte DOC Rosato is characterized by a color that can vary from pale pink to cherry red, with a delicate and pleasant aroma, often fruity and floral. On the palate, it is fresh, dry, and soft , with good acidity and flavor . It can be obtained from a blend of typical Monferrato grapes, such as Barbera, Dolcetto, Freisa, Nebbiolo, Croatina Cortese, and Chardonnay. Delicate, with notes of fresh flowers, red fruit, and sometimes even wisteria. Fresh, dry, soft, and harmonious, with good acidity that makes it pleasant. Also ideal as an aperitif, it is generally served chilled, between 10 and 12°C, and is the ideal companion for summer evenings spent by the sea .
