Terre d'Aenòr , a young winery located in Provaglio d'Iseo, in the heart of Franciacorta , is renowned for its meticulous and nature-friendly approach to the production of organic wines. Since the beginning, the company has stood out for its philosophy oriented towards the quality and authenticity of its products, enhancing the peculiarities of the territory and respecting the integrity of its grapes to the maximum. On the occasion of the 2024 harvest, the first assessments of the year reveal a complex but intriguing picture, marked by extreme climatic conditions that required even greater attention in agronomic management. The harvest is still underway, but the first considerations on the season just gone by can already be outlined.
Certainly the 2024 vintage for Terre d'Aenòr and in general for all of Franciacorta took place in a climate context characterized by strong temperature variations, in which cold periods with intense rainfall alternated with periods of drought, the latter in particular concentrated in the weeks preceding the harvest. These conditions - explains Ermes Vianelli , production manager of the company - made the management of our vineyards particularly challenging, especially in light of our 100% organic philosophy, which requires timely interventions and a high level of technical expertise. The climate trend has affected both the fertility of the buds and the quantity and size of the bunches, also considering that we always set up all the cultivation operations, including pruning, to guarantee a maximum potential of 85-90 quintals/Ha, a yield that protects the quality of the grapes and consequently of the wines we obtain ." Despite a 30% reduction compared to the production potential, Terre d'Aenòr has managed to preserve the quality of the grapes, thanks to the constant commitment of the work team, and, despite the adverse weather conditions, expects a production of around 200,000 bottles. This production will include the six Franciacorta references already on the market: Brut, Satèn Ricciolina, Extra Brut Millesimato, Rosé Extra Brut Millesimato, Pas Dosé Millesimato and Demi Sec, in addition to the two lines of still wines, Bianco Curtefranca DOC and Rosso IGT Sebino. With the 2024 harvest, Terre d'Aenòr will also d'Aenòr is further expanding its range: to the Blanc De Noir in the Nature version, vinified for the first time with the 2023 harvest and to the Reserves already in evolution, this year a second still red is added, a pure Pinot Noir, which will join the Bordeaux blend currently on the market. This new Pinot Noir, which has just begun its winemaking process, will be ready for the market in the coming years. " Despite the quantitative decrease - concludes Eleonora Bianchi , Founder and CEO of Terre d'Aenor - the quality of the grapes has remained intact: the chemical analyses and the first sensory impressions indicate excellent parameters, suggesting wines of the highest level that will continue to express the greatness of our territory and the constant commitment we dedicate to the pursuit of excellence ."
