From overhead projectors to computers and tablets: institutions will be able to choose how to invest the proceeds to make their classrooms smarter. "As the largest winery in the Municipality of Verona - affirms the president Luigi Turco - we feel the responsibility to support the schools of our territory . At this moment the technological equipment of the institutes is essential to ensure effective and innovative teaching in the classroom as well. the children, on the other hand, will print the winning designs on a special line of Cantina Valpantena labels ". The students will also be honored with a medal and a bottle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the cooperative, while their teachers will receive an Amarone della Valpolicella Docg from Cantina Valpantena. When possible, the classes of the awarded students will be able to visit the cellar and participate in a tasting lesson of the cooperative's oil. As the Councilor for Education Maria Daniela Maellare underlines, the initiative is a concrete example of active citizenship and social solidarity. In a difficult time for the school world, called to activate remote modalities in a short time, experimenting, not without difficulty, new technologies to carry out the training commitment, the availability of adequate equipment becomes essential. At the same time, the representation by the little ones of the rediscovery of "normality" becomes a reason for reflection for adults too. The drawings will be judged by a qualified commission composed of the president of Cantina Valpantena Luigi Turco, a contact person from the Direction of Educational and Youth Policy of the Municipality of Verona, the painter and graphic designer Giancarlo Molinari and the child psychotherapist Sara Bertoncelli. The documents must be delivered, by post or by hand, to the Cantina Valpantena headquarters in Quinto.

Cantina Valpantena Verona was founded in 1958 and consolidated in a short time, attracting almost entirely the production of the territory that extends between Valpantena and Val Squaranto. Today, thanks also to the acquisition in 2019 of Cantina Colli Morenici in Ponti sul Mincio (Mantua), it has 380 member farms and covers an area of 880 hectares of vineyards. In 2003, around 110 exclusively oil companies were added, thanks to the merger with the Oleificio delle Colline Veronesi which gave rise to an important olive-growing pole in the Verona area, for a total of 200 hectares of olive groves. The annual production exceeds 9,500,000 bottles for a turnover that in 2018/2019 was 47 million euros.
