TASTING THE EXCELLENCES OF THE GARDA DOC PROTECTION CONSORTIUM AT HOSTARIA

An unmissable event for wine lovers , Hostaria is an event that transforms the historic center of Verona into a place to celebrate the grape harvest and the Italian wine tradition combined with culture. This year, now in its ninth edition, the Festival welcomes together for the first time the three Protection Consortia representing the territory close to the shore of Lake Garda, namely Garda DOC, Custoza DOC and Bardolino DOC. Hostaria, an activity sponsored by the Municipality of Verona, winds along the main pedestrian streets and squares of the historic center of Verona. The fulcrum of the event, which hosts food and wine stands and cultural activities, are once again the two main squares of the city: Piazza Bra and Piazza dei Signori, the latter adjacent to the courtyards of the Court and the Mercato Vecchio. The three Consortia participate with a double presence: first of all, set up in the Cortile Mercato Vecchio there is an institutional stand called "Osteria del lago di Garda", within which visitors can taste the excellence of the denominations.

Furthermore, at the "Enoteca del Lago", also in the Cortile Mercato Vecchio, the Garda, Bardolino and Custoza Consortiums offer a dedicated lounge area, in which wine lovers can participate in a guided tasting by professional sommeliers of the wines of their respective denominations. This activity falls within the "Le Chicche di Hostaria" format, special tokens included in the ticket price which give those present the opportunity to add to the tasting itinerary a further type of food or wine tasting offered in dedicated areas
