Sunsets in Ongaresca: Five Summer Thursdays in the Winery

Tramonti in Ongaresca , the summer festival that the Lessinia Vicentina winery dedicates to the intersection of food, wine, and music, returns to Costabissara. The fifth edition will take place every Thursday in July , starting at 7:00 PM: five evenings are scheduled, from July 2nd to 30th , created in collaboration with local culinary and entertainment businesses. The format was created to experience the estate during the most evocative hours of the day and offer an informal experience linked to the landscape, tastings, and conviviality. Among vineyards, meadows, and woods, each event will pair the company's wines with a different gastronomic offering , with a musical selection designed to accompany the evolution of the outdoor evening. "With Tramonti in Ongaresca, we want to showcase our winery by highlighting the relationship between wine, landscape, and territory : the vineyards and the evening light become part of the experience," says Valentina Sinico , Ongaresca's hospitality manager. "Each event is designed as an opportunity to experience the estate in an accessible way, with tastings of our Metodo Classico, still whites, and reds, accompanied by a variety of cuisines and musical genres ." ​ ​The program kicks off on Thursday, July 2nd with Le Papere, specializing in gluten- and lactose-free fried fish, chicken, and vegetables, and a performance by the live trio Bàbata. Thursday the 9th will be the turn of Catello – La Pizzeria Contemporanea, accompanied by the music of Mirabilia. On July 16th , Cucina Tomasi, a delicatessen and catering company from Creazzo, will offer seafood paella, along with a DJ set by Luciano Gaggia Showman DJ. On the 23rd , Piccola Osteria Itinerante will be present, offering a selection of delicious cicchetti (a favorite at past editions of the festival) and Linda & the Sugar Notes. The event will close on Thursday, July 30th with Macelleria Deganello, a shop and delicatessen located in Malo, and the acoustic project Kai&Mece. The evenings are part of the hospitality program developed by Ongaresca, which in recent years has expanded its wine tourism offerings with walks through the vineyards, wine tastings paired with local products such as sopressa, cheeses, and giardiniera, and outdoor tastings around a blazing fire pit. Entrance to Tramonti in Ongaresca is €7 and includes a welcome glass of wine or a soft drink; the evening's food offerings will be available on a per-drink basis .
