SICILIAN STYLE: SUCCESS FOR THE EVENT ORGANIZED BY THE REGIONAL WINE SHOP OF SICILY, SOUTH EAST HEADQUARTERS

" Sicilian Style: Red Wines of the Future," the flagship event organized by the Enoteca Regionale della Sicilia (South East branch) in Milan, was a resounding success. The event took place last Monday in the elegant setting of The Westin Palace . The event, designed to outline the future prospects of Sicilian winemaking, was dedicated primarily to the region's red wines, particularly two leading names: Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG and Frappato .

Following the excellent response in Rome in May, the Enoteca has brought the format back to the Lombardy capital, renewing its collaboration with the Consortium for the Protection of Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG and Vittoria DOC and the Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG Wine Route Association. The day was entirely dedicated to outlining the new perspectives of Sicilian winemaking, shining a spotlight on the region's great reds, with a specific focus on two outstanding wines: Sicily's only DOCG, Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG, and Frappato , a grape variety increasingly beloved by contemporary consumers.

The event was attended by over 40 journalists, bloggers, and influencers who participated in masterclasses led by Andrea Amadei, taster, radio and television writer, voice of Decanter Rai Radio2 , and the face of Rai1's midday program. During the sessions, Amadei guided attendees through the different nuances and evolution of these wines, analyzing their unmistakable style and versatility.

The success continued in the afternoon with the opening of the tasting tables to the public: over two hundred enthusiasts and industry professionals crowded the rooms for an open tasting experience. It was a valuable opportunity to meet the producers directly and explore the diversity, quality, and innovation of wine production in southeastern Sicily.

"A splendid snapshot of the region emerged—understood as a blend of climate, soil, grapes, and people—that piqued the audience's curiosity. Those in attendance were captivated by the energy, the cheerfulness, but also the substance of these wines: enjoyable from the very first years, but capable, especially in the case of Cerasuolo di Vittoria, of looking far into the future and evolving over time."
