On January 22nd in Venice, during the first edition of the Media Key Venice Award , dedicated to Food & Beverage communication projects and the theme of Sustainability&Green on offline and online media, the " I paladini della Regina Bianca " campaign, which talks about the values of the Consorzio del Vino Vernaccia di San Gimignano , was awarded in the Integrated Campaign Beverage section for the video which featured the producers of San Gimignano. The Consortium's partners in this project were the Sienese agency Giango and the video production house Moviement HD. Irina Strozzi, president of the Consorzio del Vino Vernaccia di San Gimignano , received the Golden Lion, symbol of the city and image of the award, declaring: “It is a great honor to represent the work and sacrifices of so many people on the occasion of the awarding of this prestigious award in a dream setting like Venice". Concepts also reiterated by Giampiero Cito , creative director of Giango: “For us this recognition has a double positive value and therefore the satisfaction is double. First of all because it allows us to reiterate, if ever there was still a need, the importance of Vernaccia di San Gimignano in a panorama of international wines and, secondly, because it is the victory of the Participatory Model applied to the definition of a Brand Identity. The work that has been done has, in fact, directly involved the entire Board of Directors of the Consortium, as they are a direct expression of the Vernaccia producers. The producers are precisely those "Paladins of the White Queen" that our campaign wishes to celebrate." In addition to the Media Key Venice Award, in the last few days there has been news of the first OPENARTAWARD prize, an international competition reserved for companies operating in the communication and marketing sector, in the " Print advertising " category for the campaign "The only White Queen in a land of red kings" . In recent years, and in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Consortium, a communication campaign was launched which saw Vernaccia di San Gimignano as the protagonist in the role of the White Queen , the personification of a white wine that knows how to be excellent even in a land like Tuscany, famous worldwide for its famous red wines. Consumers were thus led to get to know his "kingdom" more closely, that is, the territory of San Gimignano, within which the first Italian DOC, DOCG, has been produced since 1993.
