Wine Tourism Movement turns 30
In the enchanting setting of Torre Rosazza in Poggiobello (Manzano), the Friuli Venezia Giulia Wine Tourism Movement celebrated, on the afternoon of Saturday 28 October, its 30 years of wine tourism.
The non-profit association, chaired by Elda Felluga, currently has over 90 wineries and has been an important point of reference for regional wine tourism since its inception.
Together with the Prime Minister, Mauro Bordin, Elda Felluga delivered the certificates of excellence to the three wineries of Friuli Venezia Giulia which stood out for their work and wine tourism activities, already proclaimed on Monday 23rd in Rome by the Associazione Movimento Turismo del Vino, during the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary in the presence of authorities, the president in office, Nicola D' Auria, Donatella Cinelli Colombini, founder of the Association in 1993, the regional presidents, the past presidents and the many wineries who came from all over Italy.
The awards had the following motivations: “Famous brand/Historical brand” to the Conte d'Attimis-Maniago winery, “Winery of historical, architectural and artistic importance” to the Villa Russiz Foundation, and finally “Family-friendly wine tourism winery” to the Paolo winery Ferrin.
