  • 04/09/2026

The Gaiole in Chianti company will be participating in the Italian Chef Charity Night. Wednesday, September 9th in Florence.

Always attentive to its surroundings, Castello di Meleto has made caring for others a distinctive feature of its identity: this is demonstrated by its support for biodiversity, maintaining the forest surrounding the vineyards and creating the Bee Park. This commitment now extends beyond the confines of the estate, embracing an even broader cause. On Wednesday, September 9th, Castello di Meleto will participate in the Italian Chef Charity Night in Florence . The event, open to the public and now in its tenth year, will take place on the rooftop of The Social Hub Belfiore , overlooking the city, and will bring together chefs, pizza makers, pastry chefs, gelato makers, and artisans of taste.

Proceeds from the evening will be donated to the UN Refugee Agency ( UNHCR ) and to programs to combat malnutrition among refugee populations around the world. The dinner is sponsored by Il Forchettiere and organized by Atelier di Narrazione.

Numerous culinary artisans will participate in the evening, including Syrian Nuha Saegh and Afghan Hamed Mohamad Karim . The two guests are young refugee chefs working in Italy. Both will present a dish from their own culinary tradition to the audience, creating a meaningful encounter that embodies the true meaning of the initiative. During dinner, attendees will have the opportunity to taste Castello di Meleto's iconic Chianti Classico DOCG and its new rosé, Dìade .

Castello di Meleto Chianti Classico DOCG is a Sangiovese in which the exclusive use of large oak barrels allows the grape variety to express itself to its fullest, creating a wine that reflects the tradition of the appellation. Castello di Meleto IGT Toscana Rosato Dìade is born from the blend of Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera: the freshness and structure of the former blend with the aromatic elegance and spicy notes of the latter, resulting in a balanced rosé with a distinctive personality.

Castello di Meleto reaffirms its commitment to others. A gesture that, glass after glass, helps build a better future for those starting over.
