HERE COMES "MONFERRATO WINE FESTIVAL - Monferrato Identity", THE EVENT CREATED BY THE BARBERA D'ASTI AND MONFERRATO WINES CONSORTIUM TO CELEBRATE THE UNIQUE BEAUTY OF THE PIEDMONT TERRITORY

Costigliole d'Asti, 8 February 2023 - Countdown to the first edition of "Monferrato Wine Festival – Monferrato Identity " , the new event scheduled for May 2023 conceived and promoted by the Consorzio Barbera d'Asti e Vini del Monferrato aimed at celebrating the thirteen Piedmontese denominations of Monferrato. "We are happy and proud - explains Filippo Mobrici, President of the Consortium - to finally be able to present to the public this event which, as the Barbera d'Asti and Vini del Monferrato Consortium, we strongly desired. Conceived starting from the inspiring principles that drive our work , i.e. the promotion of our territory and our wines, "Monferrato Wine Festival – Monferrato Identity " will be a significant moment for us and for the companies we represent aimed at celebrating and presenting to the world what distinguishes us: our panoramas designed by those vines that allowed us to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014 ". The landscape of the central hills of Piedmont has in fact been recognized by UNESCO as a cultural landscape of exceptional beauty, characterized by an ancient historical tradition linked to the cultivation of vines and a real "wine culture" , deeply rooted in the community. The event will be animated by a rich calendar of events, tastings and collateral appointments which will allow an audience of enthusiasts and specialized press journalists to live an immersive experience in the beautiful setting of the Monferrato area.

THE BARBERA D'ASTI AND MONFERRATO WINES CONSORTIUM

The Consorzio Barbera d'Asti e Vini del Monferrato, founded in 1946, has the task of protecting and promoting its denominations to guarantee their diffusion and their image on national and international markets, also through specific distinctive brands. Currently the Consortium has 390 member companies and 13 protected denominations.
