GENISIA AT THE ROME FILM FESTIVAL

  • 21/10/2026

The Oltrepò Pavese winery is partnering with ELLE's official post-premiere cocktail party on October 20th at the Hotel ROMEO in Rome, celebrating the film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, based on Valérie Perrin's bestseller. Extra Brut, Rosé, and Pinot Noir will be available for tasting.

Wine meets auteur cinema at the 21st Rome Film Fest . La Genisia , a winery in the Oltrepò Pavese committed to showcasing the many interpretations of Pinot Noir, was a special partner at the cocktail party with the cast organized by ELLE following the premiere of "Cambiare l'acqua ai fiori," which premiered at the Rome Film Fest on October 20th.

The event took place that evening at the ROMEO Roma , a hotel in the ROMEO Collection, where the editorial team of ELLE, media partner of "Changing the Water for Flowers"—a film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet based on the book by Valérie Perrin, starring Leïla Bekhti and Matthias Schoenaerts—brought together the cast, the artistic delegation, and several guests from the film world and friends of the brand. The event was held in collaboration with Palomar, 24 25 Films, Mediawan, StudioCanal, and LuckyRed.

For the occasion, paired with dishes from the Alain Ducasse Roma Restaurant , La Genisia offered tastings of three of its wines: Pinot Noir DOCG Extra Brut Metodo Classico, Pinot Noir Rosé DOCG Brut Metodo Classico , and Pinot Noir DOC, a still red wine. " The choice of these three labels ," emphasizes Matteo Ghiara , president of La Genisia, " provides an overview of the winery's diverse interpretations of the grape variety and its production. With this participation, La Genisia has brought its wines to one of the most prestigious events of the Rome Film Fest, strengthening the dialogue between winemaking and the world of culture and helping to give valuable visibility to the Oltrepò Pavese labels ."

The partnership offered the winery a prominent showcase to showcase a region where Pinot Noir is the key defining characteristic of its winemaking. Its presence at the party organized by ELLE also allowed it to reach a diverse audience, including film, communications, and lifestyle professionals, through an informal meeting where wine complemented the cultural aspect of the event.
