GARDA DOC THE OFFICIAL WINE OF THE MANTOVA LITERATURE FESTIVAL FOR SIX YEARS

1 September, Sommacampagna – The Garda Doc Consortium announces and confirms its presence at the Mantuan Kermesse, an internationally known cultural and literary event founded in 1997. Doc Garda, also in the 2023 edition, reaffirms itself as “the Wine of the Festival” of the Literature of Mantua, which will take place from 6 to 10 September in the heart of the Lombard city. “ It is an honor to be able to actively participate in this internationally renowned cultural event ” declares President Paolo Fiorini, President of the Garda Doc Consortium “ This opportunity represents the possibility for our denomination to make itself known, contributing to strengthening the identity of Garda DOC wines . In addition to being served at the Consortium Stand, our wines will be the protagonists of some important events. ” The Garda Doc Consortium Stand will be located in the central Piazza Sordello, where all the products will be available to the general public. Furthermore, right in Piazza Sordello, at 11.30 am on Wednesday 6 September, the inauguration of the Literature Festival will be held, at the end of which there will be a toast with Garda Doc wines. The Consortium will also be the sole partner of the “C 'Once upon a time there were seasons', a musical show to be held on Wednesday 6, at 21.00 at the Bibiena Theater. The evening will see the Trio Icarus Ensemble together with the Italian writer and historian Alessandro Vanoli. The artists will re-propose Tchaikovsky's work, The Seasons, in accompaniment to Vanoli's quadrilogy, which analyzes in an interdisciplinary way how nature and time have been reflected in human actions since ancient times.

Finally, the wines served in the Lounge set up in honor of the Festival inside the historic Palazzo Castiglioni will be exclusively Garda Doc wines. A presence, that of the Garda Doc denomination, which will contaminate different moments of the Literature Festival, offering a multi-sensory reading of a multifaceted and heterogeneous territory, such as the Garda area and its varietal wines, strongly characterized by the uniqueness of this territory.
