From the highlands of Langa to the glass: Colombo inaugurates a series of events celebrating the authentic soul of the Bormida Valley.

  • 18/03/2026

Among exceptional guests, typical products, gastronomy and narrative, historical and literary itineraries

Colombo opens the doors of the Bubbio winery , in the Bormida Valley, for a rich and varied calendar of events that intertwines tastings, storytelling, food and wine culture and the history of the Piedmont region.

Between spring and summer, we begin with four events - lunches and dinners - designed to offer guests authentic sensory and cultural experiences , rooted in the tradition of this profile of the Alta Langa of Asti.

Each event stems from the belief that wine is much more than a drink: it is a story, a landscape, a memory. The common thread is Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the winery's signature grape varieties, presented in different contexts each time: from literature to teaching about wood aging, from excellent local cheesemaking to the history of the House of Savoy.

Andrea Colombo , owner of the winery, explains: "We've created a series of events that puts the Bormida Valley, our wines, and the local excellences at the center. Each event is also designed to be a moment of discovery: exceptional guests will accompany the public on a sensory and cultural journey, where the pleasure of food becomes the key to understanding an extraordinary territory."

Events on the calendar

Sunday, April 12, 2026, 12:00 PM – Literary Tastings

A gastronomic and cultural experience led by two great readers: Annalisa Righini (lawyer) and Marinella Brizza (former bookseller)

The "Literary Tastings" format, conceived by Righini and Brizza, offers small samplings of literature, just as wine is enjoyed in the cellar: through tasting. The encounter takes the form of an imaginary interview with a character, an original way to share stories, emotions, and visions. Through the narrative voices of Annalisa Righini and Marinella Brizza, the figure of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, an extraordinary woman, comes to life, also portrayed through her passion for wine.

The show cooking will be curated by chef Mattia Astengo.

Gaia Lando will share the story.

A gastronomic journey led by sommeliers Laura Perrone and Marco Cavallotto . Each dish will showcase the region's connection through flavors and maturations that showcase the milk and cheese, transforming the tasting into an engaging and educational experience paired with Alta Langa DOCG.

The show cooking will be curated by chef Mattia Astengo.
