Each fairy tale has a fairy, which is why the Berta family distills a story that starts from beyond the Alps at the end of the eighteenth century, that of the Fée Verte , the Green Fairy that has overturned the art, poetry and customs of an entire era, bewitched Baudelaire, Verlaine and Rimbaud to then reach us. This is how Favola Mia was born, a product with an unmistakable and irresistible perfume, among which the notes of mugwort, star anise, mint and coriander stand out. It is the absinthe created by Distillerie Berta in respect of tradition but which is dressed in modernity thanks to its use in mixology.

Here is the recipe for a cocktail with a complex and enveloping taste : mix Favola Mia with herbal bitter Il 28 in via San Nicolao, add vodka, angostura bitter, a ginger zest and a splash of lemon. Thus was born a singular drink, full of personality.

The legend tells of a secret elixir made from absinthe and of a fairy who loved to surround herself with objects of worship, an openwork spoon, a piece of sugar, a fountain of cold water. Once the potion was mixed, the distillate went numb, circles appeared, the waves started to rise, turbines and whirlpools were formed and here the rebellious and visionary spirit of the Green Fairy appeared that seemed to come out of the water to come to life. The enchanting spirit passed from the stills to the barns, from the country taverns to the cafes of the Ville Lumière, enchanting the patrons, the women lost the virtue, the men the reason, the poets became cursed, the visionary artists, how could the Fairy go unpunished? Is it a fairy or a witch? A real persecution began, a witch hunt, but the fairy always managed to escape, to hide, to take refuge from her faithful servants. The clandestine distillers. Years went by, you could see it coming out of the secret cellars in the evening, you could see it at dawn, near an isolated inn, in the forest at the turn of a path or in the midst of a group of musicians.

The 28 of Via San Nicolao, Di Mombaruzzo, DiAnisè, DiRose, Favola Mia and DiNero , are the names of the new liqueurs of Distillerie Berta, born from secret mix of sugar, aromas, infusions and distillates of aromatic and officinal herbs grown in the natural park which surrounds the Mombaruzzo distillery. These products contain particular perfumes and aromas which from time to time release different sensations that refer to almond, coffee, star anise, the delicate hint of rose and further seal the link between the company and the territory.
