On Monday, June 22nd, at Royal Park I Roveri in Fiano Torinese, the Fondazione Vialli e Mauro Golf Cup will take place for the twenty-first time: a Pro Am competition featuring teams of professionals and amateurs sharing the course in a format that combines sport and solidarity. Champions of the DP World Tour (Europe's premier professional golf circuit), big names in sports and entertainment, and amateurs will meet on the green, all united by a goal that goes far beyond sporting achievement: supporting fundraising for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) research and cancer prevention. This year, alongside the Foundation, Follador Prosecco dal 1769 , a company from Col San Martino in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019, will be participating.
“For us, being present on a day dedicated to research and solidarity is a choice consistent with the values on which our family has built everything,” says Cristina Follador . “The local area, the work, the sense of community: these are the same roots that inspire the Foundation and which convinced us to be there. Bringing our sparkling wines as a moment of conviviality and sharing is the most direct and concrete way to contribute to something greater.”
Follador's presence will take place at two distinct moments throughout the day. On the competition course, a hole will be dedicated to the Col San Martino brand: participants will find a glass of Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG, served next to refreshments set up along the course. The evening will conclude with a poolside Cocktail Dinner Party, attended by approximately 250 guests including players, celebrities, and supporters, where Follador will host a tasting corner featuring its own labels.
“The Vialli and Mauro Foundation is built by people and stories that come together every year with consistency and passion,” says Massimo Mauro , president of the Vialli and Mauro Foundation. “Welcoming Follador means having at our side an organization rooted in the same sense of belonging and respect for what is built over time. The Prosecco they will bring to the green and to dinner will not just be a toast: it will be a sign of authentic sharing, the one for which we return to Royal Park I Roveri every year.”
The funds raised during the 21st edition will support the AriSLA Foundation's 2026 ALS Research Call and the projects of the Piedmont Foundation for Cancer Research at the Candiolo Institute, IRCCS. Participants already confirmed include Michel Platini, Gianfranco Zola, Borja Valero, and Giancarlo Antognoni, along with DP World Tour professionals including Peppo Canonica, Stephen Gallacher, Rafa Cabrera Bello, and Guido Migliozzi. Presenting partners for this edition are RF Celada SpA and Poste Italiane.
A day where sport, solidarity, and conviviality meet once again on the greens of Royal Park I Roveri, transforming golf into a concrete opportunity to support research. An event that, after twenty-one years, continues to unite big names and partner companies around a shared goal: teaming up for something that transcends competition.
