EUROPEAN EXCELLENCES RETURN TO GOLOSARIA MILANO 2023

The communication campaign " European excellence is an art form " returns to Golosaria Milano from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 November 2023 in the FOOD section, presenting visitors with two of the project partners: Prosciutto di Carpegna DOP and a selection of DOP and IGP Walloon products.

Golosaria Milano has always been the reference point in the world of taste in Italy, in fact it proves to be the perfect opportunity to get to know and meet producers, winemakers and restaurateurs but also to discuss trends and ideas. The event will be held at Allianz MiCo- Fieramilanocity Gate 3 and will be divided into different thematic areas dedicated to the various product categories.

Specifically, the communication campaign " European excellence is an art form " will be present with an 18 square meter stand dedicated to Prosciutto di Carpegna DOP and unique products originating from the well-known Belgian region of Wallonia . Visitors will have the opportunity to taste the exclusive Prosciutto di Carpegna DOP, freshly sliced by an expert cutter, but also to learn about the other products of the campaign through the information brochure.

Golosaria will therefore be the perfect opportunity to promote the knowledge and commitment behind typical and one-of-a-kind productions, like true forms of art. “Tradition is innovation” is the theme of the 18th edition of Golosaria and embodies the reason why this fair exists. The theme aims to communicate how the producers who have safeguarded our great biodiversity are also innovators, because they know how to make increasingly conscious consumption contemporary. Nothing is invented, everything is recreated, which is another way of saying the same thing: the earth is the laboratory where all this happens. This is why it deserves to be respected.

The European Communication Campaign " European excellence is an art form ", aimed at informing consumers and strengthening their knowledge of European quality brands, brings together 13 PDO and PGI certified excellences from three countries: Carpegna Ham PDO, excellence entirely made in Italy, the Pruneaux d'Agen PGI, the well-known plums from France, and eleven PDO/PGI products originating from Wallonia, a region of Belgium. These products are unique and special for their territory of origin, for their history and production tradition as well as for the commitment of all those who have always worked to pass on the passion, care and dedication for products and flavors of excellence. Choosing a DOP or IGP product therefore means choosing a masterpiece of authentic and unparalleled taste.

ABOUT THE BENEFICIARIES OF THE CAMPAIGN

The Bureau national Interprofessionnel du Pruneau brings together and represents all the French producers of pruneaux d'Agen and the workers in its supply chain. The BIP also provides scientific and technical monitoring in order to promote the quality of the product and develop its image and reputation in France and abroad. This organization is financed by voluntary contributions collected from the actors involved upstream and downstream in the sector.

The Carpegna Prosciutto Consortium is an Italian association that aims to preserve and control the production process of Carpegna raw ham. Born in 2015, it aims to protect and enhance Prosciutto di Carpegna DOP in terms of values, characteristics, seasoning and production methods which allowed it to obtain the DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) in 1996.

APAQ-W is an organization from the Walloon region whose main missions are to raise awareness of local agriculture and products, as well as valorising the workers in the production chain, their know-how and the quality of the products. This body has belonged to the agri-food sector since 2003 and its supervisory body is the Walloon Ministry of Agriculture.
