Monday 6 November A day with Erbaluce in Turin

Portici Divini is an event conceived and coordinated by Fondazione Contrada Torino Onlus , created with the support of the Turin Chamber of Commerce and with the patronage of the City of Turin . The event is divided into multiple activities, all created with the aim of giving visibility to the wines of the Turin area but also creating commercial contacts for the producing wineries.

Within this event there is a three-day event - from 4 to 6 November - where Turin wines are hosted in the heart of the city, in a tensile structure specially set up in the gardens of Piazza Solferino. Saturday and Sunday are characterized by 4 masterclasses per day, from 11am to 5pm. Saturday will be managed by the Consortium for the Protection and Valorization of Caluso Docg and Carema and Canavese Doc wines while Sunday will be dedicated to the other three wine-growing areas Turin: Collina Torinese, Valsusa and Pinerolese. Finally, Monday focuses once again on Erbaluce, the Piedmont Region's grape variety of the year with the usual Erbaluce Day organized by Confagricoltura Torino with the contribution of the Turin Chamber of Commerce and which, precisely because of the important anniversary, takes on significant importance year.

The event is divided into two moments. The first at 3.30 pm consists of the presentation to the press and to the representatives of the Region, the Metropolitan City, the Municipality of Turin, the Chamber of Commerce and the numerous mayors of the Canavese area of the definitive data relating to the 2022 harvest and the forecast data for 2023. This is followed by a toast with the Erbaluce di Caluso Docg sparkling wine (the Consortium's institutional label) and subsequently, from 5pm to 8pm, a meeting - tasting attended by an audience of sector operators (restaurateurs, chefs, teachers and students of hotel schools...) to meet the owners of the Canavese wineries and their proposal of Erbaluce di Caluso Docg in the three typologies contemplated by the specification. With a view to unifying the Canavese wine sector, our organization has also extended the invitation to non-associated winemakers.

The Erbaluce di Caluso Docg labels of the participating wineries are combined with some excellences of our territory and beyond. You can taste the raw milk cheeses of our associate Corbusier (Novalesa), the savory snacks and pastries of Bonfante (Chivasso), the meat of the Da Premio e Antonio butcher shop (Turin), the bread and passito panettone of Marcello Vidotto ( Turin) and Miretti passito ice cream (Turin).

Fabrizio Lamberti and Davide Valloni, owner and chef of the Vin Bistrot (Moncalieri) cook a risotto with Erbaluce di Caluso Docg prepared with the rice of the member Pochettino (San Raffaele Cimena), under the umbrella of the Cuochi della Mole association.

An entire afternoon with Erbaluce in Turin, in the heart of the Savoy capital to strengthen the bond between the city and the vine which, more than any other, is the symbol of Turin.

"The Erbaluce grape is probably native, certainly at home in the Canavese area and is the visiting card of Turin viticulture" underlines the president of Confagricoltura Torino, Tommaso Visca who adds "few grapes, perhaps no other, can be developed with equal success by providing three wines with unique and specific characteristics" .
