An event that, as the name suggests, begins with wine, but goes beyond it, becoming a true laboratory of regional identity and positioning, where the theme of verticality becomes the perfect narrative key to describe it.
An element that recurs among mountains and steep slopes, terraced vineyards and dry stone walls, the work of winemakers and heroic viticulture, translating into the ability to transform the difficult characteristics of the territory into value and experiences.
The topic has been discussed since the opening conference , which this year was dedicated to terraced landscapes and dry stone construction , a concrete testimony to the centuries-old relationship between man and the land, and whose construction art was recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2018. The debate featured exceptional guests, including Francesca Neonato , AIAPP Agronomist and Landscape Architect; Donatella Murtas , Architect, Director of ITLA Italia, an expert in terraced landscapes and dry stone construction; and Attilio Scienza , professor of viticulture at the University of Milan. The panel also included Paolo a Prato , of the Barone Winery in Prato, who shared the perspective of a winemaker from the Cembra Valley, a PRIS territory since 2020; Federica Eccel, Tourism and Hospitality Consultant and advisor to the Etna Wine Route, a PRIS and UNESCO territory; Simone Coccia , PRIS representative for Lamole, Cantina Castellinuzza, and Piuca; and Daniele Milano , Mayor of Amalfi and PRIS, UNESCO, and GIAHS representative.
A discussion that revealed that the Cembra Valley doesn't need to invent an identity for itself, but rather to recognize, systematize, and consistently enhance what makes it unique , without distorting itself or chasing passing fads. And wine , in this context, must not exist alone, but interact and create connections with gastronomy, culture, the outdoors, and history . In short, we must transcend the logic of individual excellences to build an integrated vision of the valley , in which wine becomes a gateway to discovering the territory without exhausting its story.
This is precisely the origin of the close collaboration between the Val di Cembra Tourist Association, represented by President Vera Rossi , and the Val di Cembra Wine Committee , which brings together all the local wineries and distilleries and is led by President Nicola Zanotelli . This shared purpose is the foundation of an event like DoloViniMiti , where the various scheduled initiatives become opportunities for networking and aim to provide memorable experiences .
Like the e-bike ride through the terraced vineyards, which went beyond a stop in the cellar or a tasting session to include a meeting with a master craftsman engaged in the reconstruction of a dry stone wall . Or the afternoon introductory course to curling , which sought to create an unprecedented parallel between this discipline and wine through concepts such as strength, balance, harmony, and precision, with tests on ice and in the glass . And again, " Spirits on Stage ," to approach the history of Cembra grappa through real- life testimonies translated into theater , in the evocative setting of a distillery. The " Narrative Murals " treated the public to an exciting evening through the streets and squares of Faver, guided by the storytelling of the Miscele d'Aria company via headphones, with wine stops introduced by the narrative voice of Aurora Endrici. The Wine Trekking Gourmet represented an engaging journey through the wines of the Val di Cembra and gourmet dishes from Val di Fiemme chefs, coordinated by the Michelin-starred Alessandro Gilmozzi. All immersed in the landscape and hospitality of typical country huts. The "Stone Horizons" masterclass, led by sommelier Andrea Amadei, was also an engaging and engaging experience, with in-depth content presented in a way that was accessible to all, satisfying both enthusiasts and novices.
Experiences that go beyond tasting but aim to connect with the territory that wine represents. Authentically. And DoloViniMiti , in this context, inevitably becomes a space for meeting and collaboration between producers, restaurateurs, tourism operators, institutions, associations, and communities , and consequently, an opportunity to strengthen a shared vision of the Cembra Valley: an essential starting point for building a recognizable destination.
The fourth edition of DoloViniMiti did not represent a point of arrival, but rather a new stage in an evolutionary journey that aims to continue experimenting with languages, formats, and experiences capable of strengthening the positioning of a valley with so much to tell.
