Even this year the great International Wine Competitions, despite the difficulties linked to the pandemic that delayed the tastings, came to an end by rewarding in particular the Gelsaia Piave Malanotte DOCG 2016, the eleventh vintage produced since 1994 and the Raboso Passito , a blend of four vintages.
The Gelsaia 2016, in fact, obtained the Grand Gold Medal at the World Competition in Brussels, a recognition achieved only by 14 Italian wines out of 363 medalists (8,500 wines for tasting), Silver Medal at the London Decanter with 90 points and the Red Award at the Merano Wine Festival (between 90 and 92.99 points) where Raboso Passito was awarded the Gold Award (between 93 and 95.99 points).
These wines are the result of decades of meticulous work in the countryside on vines of over sixty years, which thanks also to the collaboration with the Simonit & Sirch team, since 2003 engaged in the recovery of the profession of "Pruner" through training and consultancy in the most important viticultural areas of the world, we have managed to enhance through the art of "know-how in the vineyard", thus putting respect for the vine and the protection of the territory, an irreplaceable heritage, at the center of the production cycle.
