Bierfest Platz returns to Piazza dei Mestieri, offering culture, socializing, and craft beer.

For the third consecutive year, the Milanese venue in Piazza dei Mestieri opens its doors to the city with Bierfest Platz , the festival that celebrates the culture of craft beer by combining music, urban art, conviviality and social participation.

From June 18th to 20th , the spaces at Via Privata Miramare 15 and Via Viserba , which will be entirely pedestrianized for the occasion, will be transformed into a large open-air urban square: a place for meeting, gathering, and sharing, enlivened by street food, concerts, DJ sets, art installations, and video mapping shows. Three evenings designed for a variety of audiences, from young people to families, from beer enthusiasts to those seeking an authentic cultural experience in the heart of Milan.

Craft beer will be the festival's star, presented not just as a product, but as an expression of local tradition, research, and tradition. Alongside the beers of Birrificio La Piazza , visitors will be able to discover some of the most representative breweries in the Italian beer scene: Birrificio Acme , Birrificio Lambrate , 50&50 Craft Brewery , Granda , and Lucky Brews . A journey through diverse flavors, aromas, and styles that invites visitors to discover the cultural and artisanal value of contemporary beer.

Bierfest Platz is part of the educational and cultural project promoted by Piazza dei Mestieri, an organization that has been committed for over 20 years to the education and inclusion of young people through training, employment, and socializing. The event, organized under the patronage of Milan's Municipio 2, aims to strengthen ties with the local area, foster social integration, and promote urban redevelopment and shared spaces. Through a program of meetings, participation, and conviviality, Bierfest Platz aims to encourage active citizenship and create concrete opportunities for inclusion, dialogue, and collective growth for the local community.

The festival will officially open on Thursday 18 June with the traditional opening of the barrel at 6.30 pm, together with master brewer Riccardo Miscioscia .

At 7:30 pm, Bierfest Platz will host a particularly significant event: the unveiling of the new mural created by the young people involved in the workshop promoted by Piazza dei Mestieri and funded by the Lombardy Region as part of the "New Energy: Young People Experimenting" project. The project transforms two urban walls into a visual narrative dedicated to young people, growth, and the future, through a participatory process that saw the young people take the lead in creating the works, guided by street artist Boris Veriz. The murals, inspired by the themes of knowledge, transformation, and community, give urban spaces a new function: becoming a place of creativity, inclusion, and belonging. Federica Picchi , Undersecretary of the Lombardy Region, and Cristiana Poggio , Vice President of Piazza dei Mestieri, will attend the inauguration, testifying to the educational, social, and cultural value of the initiative.

Friday, June 19th will be the turn of Back to Piazza , one of the most anticipated events: the aperitif dedicated to former students and teachers of Piazza dei Mestieri and Immaginazione e Lavoro, organized by the Back to Piazza APS Association. It's a special opportunity to reconnect, share memories, experiences, and new paths, strengthening the bonds born in the classroom and in the workshops.

The three evenings will be accompanied by musical performances and DJ sets: from live music by Yellow Line , scheduled for June 18th, to DJ sets by DJ OPS and DJ KEEP TASTE on the following evenings.

Numerous side events will also be running throughout the Bierfest: every day, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, you can experience the Fast Hair Pub , with themed hairstyles and blow-dries created by Deeva together with the students of Immaginazione e Lavoro. From 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the exhibition "Can You Be Happy at Work?" , created by the instructors of Piazza dei Mestieri, will be open to the public, while the Giochi di Legno (Wooden Games) will offer opportunities for crafts and fun for adults and children.

Each evening will conclude with multimedia video mapping shows created by students of the IFTS course in Multimedia Production Techniques – 3D Animation: an immersive experience that will transform the building's façade into a large, living canvas of light, images, and music.
