The landscape is a reality to be explored, explored, and understood, not a commodity to be consumed. From this vision , "Dialoghi a Col Brià" (Dialoghi a Col Brià) develops and strengthens, year after year, the cultural project conceived and promoted by the La Farra winery . This year, reaching its fourth edition, it confirms its position as one of the most significant events in the dialogue between poetic language, territory, and community in the hills of Farra di Soligo , in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene production area.
The theme chosen for the 2026 edition is "Between Woods and Non-Woods," based on a verse by Andrea Zanzotto . This expression embodies the idea of threshold, margin, and continuous transition between nature and culture, memory and future, the search for meaning and loss. In "Dialogues at Col Brià," this vision translates into a concrete experience: the audience doesn't simply watch, but participates, traversing the landscape, walking, listening, and engaging in dialogue, becoming an active participant in a shared process of understanding the landscape.
All events, including the inaugural one on June 6th, will be preceded by a guided walk to the Belvedere La Farra di Col Brià. The ascent on foot becomes an integral part of the experience: a simple yet meaningful gesture, introducing effort as a fundamental element of immersion in nature and the landscape, and encouraging a conscious detachment from the rhythm of everyday life. Along the way, stops and moments of observation will allow visitors to explore the area through natural, cultural, and symbolic perspectives.
The promoter and driving force behind the initiative is the La Farra winery , a family-run business run by brothers Adamaria, Innocente, and Guido Nardi, located in the municipality of Farra di Soligo, one of the fifteen municipalities of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco denomination. The name La Farra harks back to the ancient Lombard language, in which "fara" referred to a social and military community united by deep ties: the same family spirit that in 1997 drove the three brothers to continue their parents' winemaking business, transforming it into a modern company, rigorously rooted in the local area. With its 25 hectares spread across Farra di Soligo, Pieve di Soligo, Follina, and San Pietro di Feletto, La Farra is a small production company that aims to contribute to the enhancement of the cultural identity of the area. Here, the fruit of the vine is in constant dialogue with the hills, and the rows of vines are places of storytelling and social gathering. An approach consistent with the recent achievement of Equalitas certification , which demonstrates the company's commitment to a shared model of environmental, social and economic sustainability.
The series of events, scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2026 , will open with a Poetry Slam , a central and symbolic moment of the entire project. This poetic challenge brings together poets of all backgrounds, invited to engage with the theme "between woods and non-woods" through original texts, in Italian, local dialects, or experimental forms inspired by Zanzotto's teachings. The audience will be an active participant in the experience, invited to listen, participate, and vote, in an atmosphere of sharing and inclusiveness, a lively encounter between words and community.
The second event, on Saturday, June 13, 2026 , will be a participatory roundtable discussion entitled "Landscapes in Balance: Languages, Interactions, and Sustainability." An open, barrier-free dialogue between speakers and audience, dedicated to the civic engagement in Andrea Zanzotto's poetry, the transformation of landscapes between memory and future, and the need to "bring the forest into the city." Among the participants, who will sit among the audience to encourage active participation, are Francesco Vallerani , professor of Geography at Ca' Foscari University of Venice and Zanzotto's companion in environmental battles since the 1970s, along with Enrico De Mori (FAI), Miro Graziotin , storyteller, and Tommaso Antiga , researcher at the University of Architecture in Udine. The moderator will be journalist Angela Pederiva .
The festival will conclude on Saturday, June 20, 2026 , with a poetry and sound reading , conceived as an immersive experience in the spoken word and the acoustic landscape. The narrators Pierluigi Tomasi and Giacomo Gava will give substance to verses taken from works such as Galateo in bosco , Meteo , La Beltà , and Fosfeni , accompanied by the sounds of Roberto Tombesi , who will use ethnic and ancient instruments to construct a score inspired by the sounds of nature and the land.
