At Rocca dei Borgia in Nepi everything is ready for Divinarte: a tribute to Frida Khalo for the three days of wine and culture

Everything is ready in Nepi for Divinarte, the wine and culture festival scheduled at the Rocca dei Borgia from 4 to 6 October.

The eighth edition of the prestigious event will be a tribute to Frida Kahlo, one of the most iconic female figures in history, seventy years after her death.

“Frida between art and revolution - Beyond pain...Color, not like someone who always wins but like someone who never gives up” is in fact the theme of Divinarte 2024, which aims to be a tribute to the Mexican painter who, with her works and her courageous and unconventional lifestyle, has forever revolutionized the popular art of her country and beyond.

The wine and culture festival combines the pleasure of art with that of good wine, combining cultural-theatrical performances, installations and sculptures with tastings organized in collaboration with the AIS sommeliers of Viterbo and with the presence of one of the greatest experts in the sector, Carlo Zucchetti.

A true cultural marathon that will be enriched by performances by mariachi groups and traditional Mexican songs and dances.

In this edition, wine becomes a symbol of a context, that of the 20th century, marked by great cultural changes. There are many companies that will associate the figure of Frida Kahlo with the typical characteristics of wine and the production area

The three-day event will feature a packed program of events, video projections, musical and artistic performances by numerous artists present with their works, and the evocative setting of the Fort will be the backdrop to a high-quality collective exhibition with sculptures, paintings and installations of various kinds. Very interesting guided tours will also be organized inside the Fortress, with the possibility of visiting the tower known as "Mastio".

The event, with free admission, is organized by Simona Benedetti, president of the AmorArte association, who also takes care of the artistic direction, while Maurizio Giovannetti collaborates for the wine section.

Inside the Fort, it will also be possible to eat: there will be three refreshment points to satisfy all palates, from gourmet cuisine to typical local cuisine.
