AIS Veneto presents Vinetia 2021 and the seven best wines of the region

Online from 20 November the new edition of the guide dedicated to Veneto wines. The Fero Prize was awarded to the labels that stood out among the more than two thousand tastings

The Italian Sommelier Association of Veneto presents the new edition of Vinetia - Guide to the wines of Veneto , an online portal dedicated to the wine excellences of the region which will be available on the vinetia.it website starting from 20 November 2020 . The Sommeliers also awarded the Fero Award to the seven wines that, during the tasting panels for the preparation of the guide, obtained the highest absolute score within their respective categories. "Despite the difficulties linked to the health emergency - explains Giovanni Geremia , editor of the guide - we found an excellent response from the companies, with over 400 participants and almost 2200 wines tasted. Vinetia has once again confirmed itself as an important point of reference for lovers of the Veneto wine world: an intuitive consultation tool that can be used anywhere, able to guide the public through the cellars, the wines and their sensory aspect ". This year three wineries from Verona, two from Treviso, one from Vicenza and one from Padua have won the Premio Fero. For the category Best Charmat Method Spumante 5 Grams 2019 Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Rive di Santa Maria di Feletto DOCG Extra Brut di Malibran was awarded, as Best Rosé Wine the Bardolino Chiaretto DOC 2019 by Poggio delle Grazie , as Best Sparkling the Classic Method Sogno 2015 Zero Dosage of Cirotto and as Best White Wine the Monte Grande 2018 Soave Classico DOC by Graziano Prà . The award for Best Red Wine was also awarded to Bertani's Ognisanti di Novare 2018 Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC , and as Best Aging Red Wine to Masari's 2013 Veneto IGT Montepulgo , while the Heart was awarded the recognition of Best dessert wine. by Donna Daria di Conte Emo Capodilista - La Montecchia . The new edition of Vinetia also saw 190 wines awarded with the 4 Rosoni, the highest score bracket assigned in the tasting commission, and 72 with the Ducato, awarded to products that combine high quality and advantageous prices. 50 wineries were instead awarded the Rialto Prize for their continuity in producing excellent wines over time. The Vinetia guide is available free of charge at the vinetia.it website and contains the evaluations of the official AIS tasters, as well as information relating to the companies and wines of Veneto and details on hospitality and private tastings.
